Liverpool 'reject £30m offer' from Arsenal for striker Luis Suárez

What the actual ****?

This is being reported by 3 reliable newspapers so I guess its true.

Arsenal have had a £30m bid for Luis Suárez turned down by Liverpool, according to reports on Sunday night. The Gunners are believed to have made the audacious offer for the unsettled Uruguayan at the end of last week but the club record bid was immediately rejected.Liverpool remain keen to keep the striker, despite his recent statements about wanting to leave the Premier League because of his treatment at the hands of the English press.Rumours of Arsenals interest surfaced a few days ago after some bookmakers stopped taking money on Suárez moving to north London following a flurry of bets.Arsenal are still attempting to complete the signing of Gonzalo Higuaín from Real Madrid and any offer for Suárez could be seen as an attempt to pressurise the Spanish side into finalising the deal.As yet the two clubs have failed to agree a fee for the Argentina international but a figure of around £23m has been mooted.

I think calling Guardian and The Telegraph reliable is a sign of a much needed list on what's reliable and what's not.

Back on topic though, if this is true then this would be a brilliant move but a weird one. I'm sure Suarez wanted to leave England not just move to a different city...

Real Madrid want suarez and don't want higuain. Arsenal want higuain. Madrid want us to pay more for Higuain. So we go and say "hey look madrid, we still don't have a striker so might as well get suarez". Maybe this will push Madrid towards agreeing a fee for higuain.
The mind games !!!
I think we are not in for suarez, and like you said he claimed he wants out of england.

Ffs Suarez, if you want to leave, then fine (not fine, but for the sake of the argument i'll say it's fine), but at least move to spain, don't go to another epl team -.-

HAHAHA. Arsenal must be pulling someone's leg with that offer. Suarez worth a MInIMUM of £40m. As soon as I read this, I came to the same suspicion as the author of the article... they must be trying to pressurize RM into finalizing a deal (although I'm not entirely sure they'd buy the bluff).

Not just Arsenal lol also he's been linked with a move to Chelsea as well for 40 millions :)) I don't know how to cope with his attitude if he will join us. as for his skills he is amazing and any club would love to have him.
