obert Lewandowski will sign for Bayern Munich, according to his agent.

Asked on Monday on Poland's TVN24 whether the Borussia Dortmund striker Lewandowski is moving to Munich, agent Cezary Kucharski replied: "Yes. Robert will join Bayern this summer.

"There is no point in pretending that he will not move to Bayern. Robert wants to leave and that is what will happen.

"It is a matter of time. It could be a done deal within a week or within two to three weeks. We are waiting for a signal from the club. We are working on this deal.

"Robert needs a new challenge. He needs other people around him, a new coach and new motivation. For us it is clear, but we have not signed anything."

The 24-year-old striker said nothing about his plans after Dortmund's 2-1 defeat to Bayern in the Champions League final on Saturday.

Outgoing Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes did however hint after the game that the Poland international would be joining the Bundesliga champions.

Lewandowski was the second top scorer in the Bundesliga this season with 24 goals in 31 games.

He scored all four goals in a 4-1 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.

Manchester United had been linked with a summer swoop for Lewandowski but it now appears that Bayern have won the race to sign one of Europe's most highly-rated players.

Looks like its confirmed. The dismantling of BvB seems to be complete. Hopefully they can use the money wisely. Also looks like Gomez will be on his way out.

If a player wants to leave then he should. No point forcing him to play for a shirt he doesn't want to. This isn't BVB's fault. Pizarro and Kiebling are possible replacements. Klopp is smart, he will find the best possible replacements and form another great squad.

They do have Julian Schieber, so we may see Klopp use him in the future. And then again, Klopp may be interested in a new striker. Since he's bound to get well over 50 Million from Lewa and Gotze, perhaps he'll spend some on Burak Yilmaz? He sure made his name in this season's CL.

@Dynastian - I have a friend who follows Galatasaray and he told me that Yilmaz is highly overrated. He had one good season, rest he can only poach and not do much else. That's why they want to sell him at the highest possible price now.

There's no need to worry, Dortmund made ~130m € this season (60m CL, 40m Götze, ~30m Lewa) so they can start spending. there are many rumors, including Eriksen, de Bruyne, Son, Bernard, Deuloefu, Dzeko, Pizarro... they all seem like probable transfers. Klopp/Watzke know what they're doing.
