La Liga goals + assists table

This isn't as specific or as detailed as Footaholic's post on the EPL, but I thought that fellow La Liga fans should see this. No surprise with Leo and CR at the top and Falcao behind them, but look who comes next. Roberto Soldado is a extremely underrated striker gone unnoticed outside of La Liga. And Carlos Vela is a man Arsene Wenger should NOT have let go of.

I remember a quote I heard once. I forget who said it.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world? Sure. But only if Messi is from another planet."

I liked this one:

Ronaldo says: "I was sent here by the god of football."

When asked for a comment, Messi says: "That's odd. I don't remember sending him..."

#1- I'm not entirely sure who doesn't rate Soldado (apart from Del Bosque as he is consistently & cruelly overlooked for the Spanish NT). I have been on record many times stating my admiration for the player. Not only for his importance to the squad but also for his loyalty & humility. Unfortunately, I am hearing unpleasant rumours on Twitter that Valencia are considering whether or not to sell him as they are in financial straights. I hope this isn't true as he has shown his desire to stay but IF he HAS to go, I'd definitely love him at Arsenal.
#2-I think I don't even include Messi & Ronaldo in comparisons anymore as it just seems useless.
#3- I am happy for Carlos Vela. I am glad he is doing well at Sociedad. That said, I get a bit perturbed when people say that Arsene was foolish to let him go, etc. IMO, his attributes are not suited to the PL. Moreover, Wenger has included a buy-back clause in his contract but I do not think it will ever be triggered as I simply cannot see how he would fit into our squad. Hopefully he stays where he is happy and excelling.

@Foot: You're going to pay £20+m for him?

@lodatz: To answer your question, Yes. I think he's easily worth 20-22m pounds.

where is the table for Assists?

@DonAndres

This is assists + goals. Ronaldo has 34 goals and 10 assists in La Liga, therefore giving him a 44 in this table. Messi has 46 goals and 12 assists, therefore giving him a 58. ;)

In total, Messi has 60 goals and Ronaldo 55. Assists wise, Ronaldo has 11 and Messi has 14.
