"Chelsea and Jose Mourinho have at a meeting where we clearly understand that Kevin for the new season to Chelsea returns. Chelsea will definitely no longer lend the player - at any club The thing is through - unfortunately.. It was no longer possible for us to be coupled to a transfer with Andre Schurrle."

-Bayer Leverkusen GM Michael Reschke. Source: Express via Sportschau (Google translated)

Now who said Mourinho doesn't deal with youth players enough?

Because he decided not to sell a young player that mean that he deal with young players enough?
Mourinho is famous for spending much Money to buy players that have already prove themselves.
I wont say this is bad but if we say that Jose deals with young players what we can say for Arsene for example?
IMO the last that mourinho cares for is the age of a player.
He looks for their potential, their abilities and decides with whom to work .Either if his name is De Bruyne or Lampard..

He hasn't worked with these players yet... How does he know "their potential, their abilities" if he never even seen them train for him? Mourinho has risked taking away big names from the team sheet for young stars or used young inexperienced players on multiple even without big names there. He has done it with Benzema, Ozil, Varane, Balotelli, De Bruyne and Lukaku now. I can probably think of more if I bother. He has even included in his interview that he is planning long term with Chelsea and will prefer to use the current members there are.

First of all it was Pellegrini who brought Benzema and Ozil to Madrid.
Benzema went to madrid after a season that he had scored 30 goals!
And he was a big name on that summers transfer window.
As for Varane he let him play because he hadnt any choice with Ramos and Pepe being unavailable for the game against Barcelona.
Varane Shined so it was impossible not to give him another chance.
Anyway,he havent seen how much playtime he will give to Lukaku and De Bruyne yet.
But i hope they will play a lot.
I Love to see youngsters and players with their talent to get more chances at teams like Chelsea with many stars.
I hope you understand what i mean.
Anyway,Goodnight :) !

@DonAndres

Actually, it was Mourinho who bought Ozil. Vendetta also forgot to include Alvaro Morata, Sami Khedira, and Angel di Maria. He bought these four (and Varane), and turned them into top-class players. All of them leaped milestones under Mourinho's guidance.

And when you said Mou pays for players who have already proved themselves, what about Didier Drogba? He was largely unproven. Mesut Ozil? Only known by Budesliga fans at the time. Raphael Varane? Mou was the one who made the choice of putting in Varane over Carvalho and Albiol, even with Ramos' suspension and Pepe's injury. And I had watched every single minute of Real Madrid's 2011-12 season, and I can tell you that Varane had proven himself back then. He had proven that he was worthy to take Pepe's spot, and I was upset that Mourinho decided to start the 2012-13 season with Pepe beside Ramos, instead of Varane. I was happy though, that Mou was giving Varane more and more frequent chances for the first team, as Varane was impressing him more and more. In the end, Varane would have over hauled Pepe anyways. And it was also Mou who decided to promote Alvaro Morata to the senior team.

You see, Mourinho may have been criticized about how he dealt with youth players at RM, but what people don't realize is the RM philosophy. RM use superstars, and Mou was ordered to use superstar players like CR7 and Kaka. RM isn't an aging squad, so why would Mourinho sell one of his superstars for a youth player? Why would you waste 30 Million Pounds on Benzema, only to sell him for less money one year later and promote 17-year old Morata?

So don't blame Mourinho for his dealing with RM youth players. It was not in his hands. Perez wants superstars to be used, and in HIS mind, youth players can't be superstars (I think he's never heard of Messi, Puyol, Iniesta, or Xavi).

Back on topic, yes, this is good news for the Blues. Now it'll be interesting to see how Mourinho uses De Bruyne. I wonder if he'll use him sparingly (because Mata occupies the CAM role), or if he'll be switched over to another position. It'll be exciting nevertheless. Congrats Vendetta and Alex. I'm eager to see that old Chelsea again. :)

Thank Dynastian :) I think he will prolly play them like this Hazard - Mata - (De Bruyne/Oscar/Moses) if he plays the same formation. But he might go for 4-4-2 formation this season. We will see who will he sign first. and then will understand what he is planning to do with the formation.

I'm not sure it's a good thing for him, because I'm pretty sure he'll warm the bench too often with Lukaku, and I'm afraid Mou does not let Hazard play too much either...

LOL ^ .
Mou is not stupid.
Its impossible not to give Hazard too much time!

@Alex: I could see a 4-4-2 occasionally. I expect to see 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 more though. Especially 4-3-3 with the width we have.

I think Mourinho will have a decent squad to play in any formation he wants and that's a great thing :)
