@Dynast: Luiz and Mata are also about 6 years younger than Terry and Lampard, too. ;p
They're getting old, man. Old legs have trouble with the likes of Ronaldo and Ozil.

@Lodatz
More like Ronaldo and Isco. ;)
Ozil and Benz didn't do much that game at all. Imagine if Ozil and Benz were both on form. ;P
Chelsea people being all defensive... why don't you cut some slack and stop so much wine you're causing? I didn't attack your team..
I think this title is misleading. It makes it sound like Ronaldo committed the ultimate revenge when he really didn't, it was just a friendly. If Real Madrid were to knock out Chelsea out of the CL by goals from Ronaldo then that would be the ultimate revenge.
Moruinho said something bad about Ronaldo, and he replied with 2 goals. Simple as that. Don't think you Chelsea fans should get too sensitive with this stuff... It's like anything we say provokes you. A bit annoying really.
Of course we'll be sensitive, its our team thats supposed to prove Mourinho's statement is right by not letting Ronaldo shine infront of Mourinho's team. And people think Mourinho was proven wrong in a freaking friendly. It's like saying ManUtd are going to be horrible this season because of their horrible pre-season.
@V
But why are you guys so desperate to prove Mourinho's point of Ronaldo not being the quote "real Ronaldo"?
And I personally feel friendlies really don't matter and I've said this last season so I guess we're on the same boat in that perspective.
However, the fact that Chelsea lost to RM is really Mourinho's fault.
We don't care about Mourinho's thoughts on Ronaldo but we do understand our team is meant to prove his point. But people took this too seriously thinking the friendly was THE match to prove. I'm sure there will be a time when Ronaldo gets a chance, but in a CL match. I posted already that this match could have easily been much more different if Mourinho cared. But he didn't and thats right of him. It's just a friendly.
Just because you guys don't care about Ronaldo doesn't mean the others don't. And correct me if I'm wrong but it does feels like you guys do care about what Mourinho thinks about Ronaldo because you said "to prove Mourinho's statement is right by not letting Ronaldo shine infront of Mourinho's team."
And yes. This was a friendly and I am for sure not going to judge Chelsea by this one game out of their 4/5 brilliant games but it has to be said that RM were a class above.
1) No one except Chelsea and Madrid should care. Not even Chelsea or Madrid. Only Mourinho and Ronaldo should care.
2) It sounds confusing but this is what I mean. We don't care about Mourinho's statement but we do care about performing better and that means playing when it counts.
3) A class above us? Possibly, but how can you judge already when we didn't even bother using our best XI.
1) Why should only Mourinho and Ronaldo care about this? If Mourinho is gonna say things to the public, he and you Chelsea fans should expect some disagreements. Just saying.
2) Although I am still confused, I will just let this one go and try to understand.
3) Quite frankly, this was a rather strong team wasn't it. Of course, Luiz, and Mata were missing but at the same time, RM was missing di Maria and Xabi.
Here's my point. It's not this match only but in general. It never seems like you guys can just accept a defeat as it is and it's just sometimes frustrating to read. You say it's a friendly and we shouldn't judge Chelsea by it but you go through all the trouble of talking about Lamaprd's injury. My point is, I feel you guys have to accept a defeat just at it is like me just accepting our loss to Sevilla.
Now you're making it seem as if we're sore losers. We accept defeat but why does everyone judge based on the one friendly where we don't utilize our best XI. When that happens I wont sit there watching Chelsea being judged so quick. It's much more than Lampard's injury. "but it has to be said RM are a class above." Don't you see how you judge so quick? Check my previous posts before saying us Chelsea fans can't accept defeat.
Before it was decided that Chelsea would play Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup final in Miami, Cristiano Ronaldo became the latest former colleague singed by Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid bridge burning campaign. "I was manager for the first time in the 2000 year but, before that, I was assistant in big clubs and with big managers and coaching the best players in the world so I was 30 and I was coaching Ronaldo, not this one [Cristiano], the real one, the Brazilian Ronaldo," Mourinho told ESPN.
When this comment got back to Cristiano in the lead-up to his first match against his former manager, he played it cool and told reporters, "I prefer to remember the good things from coaches. I don't spit on the plate from which I eat and I don't speak about people who say bad things about me."
Well, it seems Cristiano subscribes to the "don't get mad, get even" credo because in the 31st minute of the match, he pinged a free kick off the bottom of the crossbar to put Real Madrid up 2-1 on their ex-coach. Ronaldo then cockily turned in Mourinho's direction and pointed to himself as if to say, "checkmate, dingus."
Real Madrid opened the scoring with a goal from Marcelo set up by Ronaldo in the 14th minute. Marcelo then had a few aggressive words for the Chelsea bench, but Ramires equalized just two minutes later by chipping another target of Mourinho's derision, Iker Casillas.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored again in the 57th minute to make it 3-1. If there is a Ronaldo Highlander, he's showing Mourinho that is it right now.
