John Terry has retired from international duty after having a rough time with FA after being charged for racial abuse and being stripped off the england captaincy.

He knows already that he will be found guilty and so is retiring rather than being dishonorably banned.  Apparently, FA hearings have a 99.6% guilty rate. His goose will be cooked before he even enters the kitchen.
