Agree with that, plays with his head and his heart, no sacrifice is too big for this man when it comes to Chelsea he's seen it all in his time there and even though he hasn't got the legs anymore he still has a magnificent football brain and reads the game so so well.
A month ago he had his 500th cap and somehow none of us ( chelsea fans ) has posted anything to praise our captain . If he did not have all these silly controversies , he would have easily been placed in the line with some of the greatest captains of all time .
I may exaggerate but he deserves the praises as much Maldini and many other great defenders and captains . However , if I exaggerate by placing him on level with Maldini than Ancelotti exaggerated too when he said same thing about Terry . One of the football greatest Ronaldinho recalled John Terry and Maldini as toughest defenders he has ever faced . I am sure Messi can agree on this as well .
He has had his share of mistakes off and on the pitch . He stayed strong and still showed that he is top professional by not letting those things to affect his game . And so many , many times he has inspired Chelsea and England to victories with his fearless defending and leadership . Fantastic defender , leader and legendary footballer .
I love our captain and to me he was always the best captain out there , still is and forever will be even after he leaves .
