Isco Future

Malaga forward Isco says his future could be decided by Sunday, with Manchester City and Real Madrid waiting in the wings.

The Spanish starlet, who helped his country to European U21 Championship glory on Tuesday, has found himself at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war since the 2012/13 campaign came to a close.

With Malaga's financial struggles well-documented, and with coach Manuel Pellegrini having decided to leave his post for one at the Etihad Stadium, it did not take long for Isco to become one of European football's hottest properties.

City and Real have led the chase from the start, and are known to have put offers to the talented 21-year-old.

They are now waiting to hear back, with conflicting reports suggesting that both clubs consider themselves favourites to secure Isco's signature.

Both are already well-stocked for creativity - with City having added Fernandinho and Jesus Navas to a group which already includes Samir Nasri and David Silva, while Real's midfield options include the likes of Luka Modric, Angel Di Maria, Mesut Ozil and Kaka.

Isco would face fierce competition for a starting berth at either club and is determined to make the right call for his career.

He has thought long and hard about his decision, keeping everyone waiting, but has now hinted that a lengthy transfer saga is nearing a conclusion.

He said: "I prefer not to comment about my future, but the matter could be closed this Sunday."

Reports emanating from Spain suggest City and Real could face competition from big-spending Paris Saint Germain and Borussia Dortmund for Isco's signature with both clubs thought to have tabled offers for the playmaker.

Personally i think the best for him would be a team that he will be at the starting XI.
Probably i would like to watch him play for Tottenham,Arsenal or BVB.
Of Course for Barcelona but i think he wont get the playtime he deserves if he goes to Camp Nou.
Anyway Wish him the best!

He deserves to be in the starting XI every game. Of the two teams I feel like in Real he would be able to start ahead of Di Maria being deployed as a RAM/RW. Off topic but I hate he left Valencia and became so big two seasons later. Stupid management lost what could hav been our biggest recent star.

Valencia underestimated him and sold him just for 6M if i remember well.
As for him joining madrid,it would be better to join a team and Play as a CAM his natural position in other words not RAM not LW etc..

He SHOULD join somewhere where he's guaranteed to develop as a CAM. He'll join Real though. Watch it.

Maybe this is why Tottenham have been so quiet -- they're preparing to swoop in for Isco unannounced!!

(I can dream, right? :/)

Oh, I do still think Oscar is better. But no, I've got nothing against young Isco. I just hope he goes somewhere he'll get enough games to shine. Between Madrid and City, I think City are the better option for him, to team up alongside Silva and Aguero, as Madrid have more competition in midfield.

Agree..
As for his comparison with Oscar i am sure that he can change your opinion if he joins Man City and you will watch him more than now :) Anyway both are fantastic!

Mata Is the best chelsea player for me!Just Amazing!
Eden Hazard has the potential to become better but he is not for now IMO.
Back to Isco them who i think that one day will win the Ballon D'Or and become the first spanish to do it.
Iniesta was so unlucky because of Messi. If there was not Messi he will had at least one :) .

^^ I agree. Iniesta, Ronaldo and others are all living under Messi's shadow.

Which is just unlucky for them, because he really is the best player of all time.
