At the moment we are playing good probably we are better then Barca but I think we are level with Real and Bayern.
Lol at people talking about Barça more than Chelsea, we are on rebuilding and still one of the strongest....
Wait, just wait ;) we' re not the best team but PSG isnt better and we have the best player of modern Football.

@ramaboy barca can improve now that we have suarez and vermaelen is yet to make his debut
@Tiki
The best player doesn't mean much if he is shut down.
You see, Barcelona's team is slowly being split in half. There are the players who are used to playing possession style football (Busquets, Messi, Iniesta) and there are the new players who are used to counter-attacking football (Neymar, Rakitic, Suarez). The problem is that Barcelona can't play both styles at the same time. They simply can't.
Their football used to revolve around the trio of Xavi, Iniesta, and Messi. This is the system that made Messi untouchable. But once you take that system apart, as Xavi and Iniesta both age and decline, Messi is not the same as he used to be. That's why his statistics are decreasing annually. It's not that he was better in 2011-12, but that his team was better. His support was better. That's when Xavi and Iniesta were at their peak, and that's when Messi thrived off them most. Messi is a better player today than in 2011-12, but his team sure isn't. That's why he goes from 73 goals to 60 goals to 41 goals. Injury isn't the only thing that stopped Messi from performing in those years.
Your team is going through a transition period, but right now, Barcelona aren't capable of beating the likes of Bayern or Madrid, that's for sure. Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1, but the performances of the teams were vastly different. Madrid completely ripped Barcelona apart, but failed to convert their chances due to some poor touches from our attackers. And if they get outperformed by Madrid by such a margin, Bayern will surely beat Barca comfortably. And Chelsea certainly have the ability to beat Barcelona, especially when Mourinho is a specialist at making the mighty Barcelona bow to him. ;)

@iraqi no way juventus even in top 10
Knock on wood we keep on growing . Don't really care to argue wether we are better than Barca or not at the moment , because we always we always got the better of them even during their total domination of Europe . Just a simple fact and not bragging here . Also, would not mind seeing Chelsea play against them .
As far as Atletico , I hope we can settle it down this season . This time they won't have our goalkeeper and now we have their striker , let's see how this scenario plays out .
We will meet either Bayern or Real Madrid , but only one of them because they will play each other for sure . I just have a wild feeling .
Chelsea is doing fantastic and I hope we can hit even higher level in Winter . Squad depth with quality players is just a big plus especially hence we don't have a winter break .
Lol dynast see you in Camp Nou, first time you open played us in a decade on your home field, scored a PK, a corner and a counter and your trying to tell me that you raped us.
Raping is 0-3 2-6 or 5-0 games for example, having possession after the 3rd goal is just NORMAL for a big team leading at home and feeling confident....
See you next Clasico i really dont see Football like you see it, and it could have been the opposite if Messi converted his tap in at 0-1, at 0-2 you could live another nightmare.
@Tiki
So scoring off a penalty, a corner kick, and a counter-attacking goal doesn't count as proper football? You sound like Xavi, who believes that possession is the only method of playing football. LOL.
It counts but its not ripping COMPLETELY APPART as you said, dont try to make me say something i never said.
Last year Madrid was trully ripped appart in the clasico of camp Nou despite the 2-1 score, and you went winning CL.
Dont get fast into meaninless conclusions and hope that your teams form would be good enough in February, thats what matters most.

@Tiki: dont. You always have excuses when your team loses. Penalty, counter-attacks and corners are all part of the game. We still destroyed and even raped you in the bernabeú, we could have even scored more than 3 goals.

5-0 6-2 thats raping ;) Madrid are better at the moment, thats why their fans actually go cocky, but things always change no matter what,no good form is eternal.
What goes arround comes arround, how many times you disapeared after a clasico iraqui ? and if you wanna reply make sure you write respectfully so people doesnt come and edit your BS like troll.
Barca has been dropping form and Madrid is in form with the best squad I have ever seen. Unless Barca fix their defensive problem they would lose to Madrid. But they are at too high level, and have too many game changer magician, that make a game can change to favor any side. Especially Messi and Ronaldo.
Last El Clasico could have been a rape if Madrid was more clinical at the end, but could have been a won for Barca if Pique didn't make that stupid mistake that turned the game around (until that Barca was better IMO).
So I have to disagree and partially aggree with you both
@tuan_jinn actually Barca's defence isn't that bad they had a really good amount of cleansheets in the beginning of the season but against the big teams it's weak.
It's that bad... as soon as they meet a decent attacking team, their defenders make unacceptable mistakes... a moment like that would be very costly
Love how this thread became all about Barca and Real.. Real is probably the team I'd rank top 1 in the world right now, but let the results talk for themselves! CL will be interesting this year and my guess is that Real or Chelsea eventually will stand as winners of it!
And whoever said Juventus is among the best teams.. Just No.. Sorry, but No.
Haven't been impressed by PSG at all either.. I read that it's bad atmosphere in the team which might affect their performance on the pitch because right now my opinion is that they're far behind the top 4 teams.. Glad that Cavani finally has started to find his feet in the club though!
Atletico are underrated, they dominated Real in Madrid derby, 3 games, 2 wins, 1 draw this season. ( What Madrid fans tend to forget).
Atleti lost quality players but this team clearly have the rights elements for players to progress and perform.
Actually no team can be sure to be favourite, not even Madrid or Bayern, each team has its nemesis qualified to knock out stages and each team should get lucky calls and draws to win it.
Not Rulling Dortmund and Atleti out until they got eleminated.

@tiki_taka atletico are underrated, but they lost diego costa and replaced him with madzukic and griezmann
courtois was replaced by jan oblak
I really don't like this hype around Chelsea being compared to Real or Bayern . I want Chelsea to be "dark horse " . So, we can surprise the heck out of everyone. Just like it was in 2012 ( when everyone said Barca and Bayern will rape us ) and just like Dortmund did in 2013 ( to me they were winners not Bayern who got some big decisions going their way ) , just like Atletico in 2014 ( I believe if they had all the players fit , game would have been different ).
Therefore , I will gladly let Bayern , Real , Barca , BVB , Atletico and PSG to take all the spot light . Let them beat their chest and call themselves as kings of the jungle . Meanwhile we will quietly work on ourselves during long tough winter and get prepared for Spring . We have enough pressure in domestic competitions and extra pressure in UCL is just not needed .

JK, we're prbly about 3rd. Long gone are the days where we would take a 1-0 lead and bring on John Obi Mikel.
As the title reveals.. Chelsea is better than ever before.. but are we/they as good as, what is usually considered to be the top 3 teams of uefa;Barca, Bayern and/or Real Madrid?
I say YES, without a doubt!, but then again, I might be biased.. or?
Chelsea has played 19 competative games this season, and still haven't lost a single game. However there has been 4 draws of which 2 has been in the PL (against Man United and Man City) and 2 in CL (against Schalke and Maribor).
