Is this some way for you to retain your dignity? Because I can clearly see that Bayern have demolished Barcelona, and that they have taken Barca's place at the summit of world football. And this post doesn't really do anything to help you hide your shame.

#respect for the fact that even though all the odds are against your club, you don't stop supporting them.

This is one of the corniest memes I have ever seen.
@ Dynastian, Bayern took Barca's spot on the top of the summit? I'm pretty sure, everyone knew Bayern was the team to beat. Since you mentioned shame, how do you feel after today?

@Dynast, I have no shame. The Germans outclassed us just as they outclassed you.  We went out fighting, and I will support Barca till I die.

Yes, when Barca loses they always lose with class and they never blame each other. It's a beautiful thing really. Hey why do the Bilbao fans whistle when Iniesta gets the ball?

@whatthehell and manchester

When did I say I was ashamed of our loss? Is there any shame, especially when Dortmund have been such a phenomenal team? No. I don't mind being hammered 4-1. It teaches us a lesson. It teaches that numbskull Perez that money can't buy you everything. Unlike you two, I'm actually a honest football fan. So please don't compare me to yourselves.

And why would you say we should be ashmed to our loss? just use the argument that you are saying to me Bayern has been better than Barcelona in the Europe atm.

@WhatTheHell

I am saying "shame" because that's exactly what you're doing. Instead of saying "we lost fair and square", or "Bayern outclassed us", you guys are bringing up past heroics in an attempt to retain your dignity. I like what Ramaboy said when he mentioned that he has no shame in losing to Bayern, as he knows Bayern are better than Barca at the moment. THAT is a true fan.

And just because a team is struggling in the league does not necessarily mean that they are not a phenomenal team. Both Dortmund AND Bayern are monstrous teams right now, and the point gap in the table doesn't accurately display Dortmund's level of playing.

Just to throw a cat amongst the pigeons, I wouldn't say that BVB are a beast, or monstrous team. Bayern absolutely are, and they ooze quality and depth in every position, but I think BVB are a team with a fantastic first XI.

Much as it pains me to say it, I'd liken BVB to Arsenal (at least, the Arsenal of a few years ago). Back then the Gunners had a team who could beat anyone on their day, but over the course of a season their squad simply wasn't good enough to keep up with fatigue, injury and rotation, hence them not being in contention for a title, despite still managing to rack up memorable wins over Man United, Barcelona and the like, on the day.

Looking at the 20-point gap between Bayern and BVB in the Bundesliga, I can't help but think of them in the same way. If BVB end up winning the Champions League, then they may well attract some new stars, and find it easier to hang on to their current ones. But if they don't, they're in danger of being (richly, mind you) dismantled by offers coming in from Europe's powerhouse clubs, because who knows when they might be able to get the chance to win it again? We already know that Goetze is leaving. What about Reus, Lewandowski and others? I think the only thing that will keep them there long-term, is by winning this trophy, this year.

Do you see what I mean? Fantastic starting XI, but not a strong enough squad to be considered a beast team.

@Lodatz

But still, I consider any team to be able to thump 8 goals past Madrid in 4 games to be quite a formidable team. Even if BVB aren't "monstrous", they still are very, very good in what they do.
