I wanted to introduce those of you, particularly those of you who follow or have an interest in English football, to a fast-growing project that I've been involved in since its recent inception. This "project" is run by "BallStreet" - an organization created by and for fans of the less glamorous clubs in addition to those that follow the top 4-5.
Basically, they have created an interactive media platform in which fans contribute and discuss topics which they find important or that aren't covered enough by mainstream media.
Ian Wright, an Arsenal Legend and one of my personal heroes, has helped to spearhead this project. It began simply as a twitter discussion, then a few miscellaneous youtube clips, and has evolved into a full-fledged show. The show is entitled 4-5-1 and is broadcast on youtube and bases its discussions around suggestions and responses by followers of BallStreet. It is co-hosted by the brilliant Marcus Speller (host of the popular podcast and football website "THE FOOTBALL RAMBLE").
It is a great show and basically each segment can be watched and commented on separately so that you don't have to watch the whole thing if you don't want to (although I would encourage you to branch out). These guys are funny, no-holds-barred, and also Ian has years of intimate knoweledge with the game that uses to shed light on his opinions.
Since I have enjoyed it so very much I wanted to share it with all of you. So come join me, Ian Wright, BallStreet, and the everday guy on the street and help grassroots football as well PL hot topics get the coverage it deserves! The best part about it is that you can use the comments section under each video to discuss with likeminded individuals. My Youtube Username is MrFootaholic (someone already had Footaholic :( and you will see a lot of my comments in the videos. I think a lot of you might like it so here is where you can watch & get involved:
