I said it before but I'll say it again: Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers have been doing some really good business this summer. Good additions for good fees.
They need to add 1 more CDM to compete with/cover for Lucas (e.g. Celtic's Wanyama).
The Suarez situation is unfortunate because if they could somehow manage to keep him happy and put off Madrid (not realistic) I think they'd be very very good next year and could easily be in the top 4. Unfortunately, as things stand, that's not the case.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard hopes the club's new signings will improve their chances of returning to the Champions League - but has revealed he knows very little about them.
Manager Brendan Rodgers has already done deals for Manchester City defender Kolo Toure, Sevilla midfielder Luis Alberto, Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas and Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
But like many, the club's captain knows 'very little' about Spanish imports Aspas and Alberto.
'I know very little about them, but I have a lot belief and confidence in Brendan and the scouting department that they are going to make the right decisions and I have seen bits and bobs of the new signings we have made,' Gerrard told LFC TV.
'I am really looking forward to getting back to work next week and seeing what the new players have got to offer and see if they can help strengthen our squad to put in a better fight for a top-four finish.
'It's always important to get faces in as soon as possible; they can get a full pre-season under their belt, get to know the lads and how the manager wants to play.
'There are (also) some exciting names in there so everyone is excited.'
