can you link me the page where do you compare the players? thanks :)
No problem :)
Impressive stats indeed, I've just made a little comparison for the RB's, really cool site, thanks for this V.
Hmm this is fascinating. But it doesn't really say much about Azpilicueta as a full-back. The greatest full-backs in the world are known for their contribution going forward as well as defense. They are balanced in a sense. And the stats you provided are very narrow and only show the defensive side of the game. Azpilicueta fits well into Mourinho's style of play, but he wouldn't be able to get into any other top side in Europe. Here are some left-backs aged 25 and lower. I added different stats, mainly attacking wise. I know who'd I want on my team. BTW thanks for introducing us to this website!

Its not that fair since the minutes played are not the same, Alba and Digne didnt play as games as the others.
And from the game stats, Marcelo wins it over Azpi with few minutes less played while Alaba is the best at his post actually.

@TheGame: You have a point that all of their attacking looks better than Azpi's (they probably really are better), but you have to take into account that the reason he doesn't attack as much is because of Mourinho's style. Having watched almost of every single Chelsea game this season, I've noticed that Mourinho only makes one of the fullbacks attack when we have the ball while the other sits back. Due to Azpilicueta being a fantastic defender, Ivanovic is usually the one who goes forward while Azpilicueta is forced to sit back as insurance. But you know what, when Azpilicueta does go forward he can be very dangerous by linking up with Hazard and making overlapping runs to break the opposition's defense; the issue is it's not very noticeable.
We've looked at Mourinho's style of play and how it has affected Azpi but the other reason for all these stats is because the other four teams usually dominate their matches in passes, attacking, and possession, whereas Mourinho's style is more focused on quick breaks and direct attacks. Alaba plays for the best team in Europe with the most attack-minded coach in Europe as well. His team dominates each game which causes him to barely ever have to break a sweat in defense and just attack more. Carlo's style also involves a lot of attacking and possession which is one of the reasons why Marcelo's attack stats are this high. There's also the notion that Brazilian fullbacks are raised into ones that focus on attacks. I don't even have to bring up Barcelona and Alba considering both their style of play depends heavily on possession, passing, and attacking (which brings out Alba's weak point; he can't defend well). Finally, PSG is the most dominant team in France dealing with some average defending a lot of times. While they are challenged more than the others considering they're a new and growing PSG, it's still obvious they're one of the best out there in attacking.
@V, I agree with everything you said. I just wanted to provide a different perspective. Azpilicueta is like piece of a puzzle and fits really well into Mourinho's system. Alaba is thriving under Guardiola just like Alves used to do.
I like Azpi. And if you realize that hi is natural RB,you must admit he is phenomenal defender .
^This a hundred times over. The most impressive part of his performances this season is that he's playing out of his most comfortable position yet is still our best defender and dethroned Ashley Cole, who is no average player.
