I actually thought that the way Alves really fought the racist chants and actions were by causing havoc to Villareal by assisting both the own goals. But I won't lie, him eating the banana made me laugh.

And the Spanish FA should fine Villareal for their fans' behaviors tonight. Disgraceful. Racism should not be tolerated on a football pitch.
