If we taken into consideration that Ronaldo was worth 80mil because he wanted to go to Real Madrid, then the price of a Messi that doesn't want to leave Barca is fantastic. In today's market, I'd say he'd have to be worth equal or more to what the biggest-spending teams spend in a window. So about 170, 180mil. Before anyone mentions his age, Juve shelled out almost half that amount for Higuian, and no one here doubts that Messi is twice as good.

To be sincere, Barca don't want him to leave and he propably don't want to leave either, so I don't think they will ever accept any offer for him no matter what. Its not that he is priceless, it is that he has become priceless for Barcelona and its fan. A bit like Muller will not be sold at any price by Bayern. There player like these who become club legend like Totti, Buffon, Rooney, Terry, Ramos or Iniesta that club don't want to cash on simply because of their statut. Messi is in that case in my opinion, so maybe if he wouldn' t have joined Barca as a young player and still would have found sucess, then pherhap he would have a pricetag, but since he is such a club legend at Barcelona and as long as it continue, I don't think we will ever be able to put a prize on him. Maybe when he is closer to retire and he doesn't start at Barca anymore but even that could be far away and could potentialy not represent his true value. Its propably impossible to say to be sincere.
