How Chelsea could line up next season.

The Costa deal is nearly confirmed and he should arrive at Chelsea after the World Cup finals for 32 million. Another arrival may be Raphael Varane who had 33 appearances under Mourinho at Real, but Ancelotti has only started him 11 times in the league this season. He would like a reunion with Mourinho who bought him from Lens. Although Zouma and Kalas have showed there class at times, they will likely not start or be loaned out to a good club which will give them playing time. Piazon may return and with Piazon/Salah on the bench, Callejon, Paulinho, Eriksen and any other midfielders won't be needed. Schurlle deserves a chance to start and Oscar could be given a slightly defensive role, just ahead of Matic. Eto'o's contract has run out and Mourinho is likely to sell Ba. Lukaku deserves to return and he and Costa will compete for the strikers role, with Torres possibly staying with the club as another striker. Coutois should return and Mourinho will make moves for more young starlets and loan them out to Vitesse. Mourinho may only make the two critical signings of Costa and Varane and Shaw and although he will stick to his favourite 4-3-2-1 formation, they may play similar to this

What utter bullsh*t. Varane was injured for more than 5 months this season. Why would he ever leave Madrid for Chelsea if Madrid is keen on using him? He'll get the same paycheck in both clubs, and being a Madrid player has a more "fame" and "stardom" quality to it.

Varane didn't say anything about him intending to leave Madrid either, so you might as well rule that out.

Raphael Varane.Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is reportedly considering reuniting with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea this summer after the impressive partnership forged by Pepe and Sergio Ramos has drastically reduced his playing time at the Santiago Bernabeu. The 21-year-old defender joined the La Liga side in the summer of 2011 after Los Blancos paid £8m to Lens to secure his services. Although he was largely recognised as one for the future he swiftly became a pivotal starter under Mourinho who preferred him ahead of Ramos and Pepe. However, a long-term knee injury he suffered at the beginning of the season saw him side-lined until Christmas, during which time Pepe and Ramos excelled, leaving Varane unable to recover his spot in the Real Madrid line-up under Carlo Ancelotti. As a result, Varane has since only started six La Liga games for Real Madrid while he has missed crucial matches such as the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona and both Champions League semi-final legs against Bayern Munich.Varane believes that his situation is unlikely to change soon and according to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial he is considering a move to Stamford Bridge after Mourinho made it known to Varane's representatives that he would like him at Chelsea next season. Earlier this season, the Chelsea boss didn't hide his admiration for Varane, including him in the top three young players he expects to light up this summer's World Cup. The Blues have already signed centre-back Kurt Zouma, who will link up with the club this summer, in the January transfer window but with John Terry coming to the end of his career the Portuguese boss may also want Varane as his long-term replacement."Hazard, Neymar and Rafa Varane. I think he is the best young central defender in the world. Already I think he's the best," Mourinho said.International Buisness times
