How can I get into watching Bundesliga?

I really am getting interested in watching the Bundesliga but I don't know where to start. I don't know the rules, the style, or anything about it. Does anyone know a good website that can introduce me to the Bundesliga or has a guide about it?

You can read the wiki page to get an idea about the facts etc. in a dry way. Watch these videos on the official channel of Bundesliga: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3uJGozO1imcu8eCUzSgV_v8UB3HXZL8T, some short videos capturing famous moments in Bundesliga history. Rest you can pickup along the way as you start watching it. Also, a good read: <http://bundesligafanatic.com/category/bundesliga-classic/>

If you can watch the full match(es) that's great. I don't have time for that so I watch the Bundesliga highlights show that's aired on itv (you can watch it on footballorgin.com, its like MOTD, extended highlights of all BL games of the week)

Thanks for the help :). I'll look more into your links after I watch F1 Belgian Grand Prix today.

You should have watched Leverkusen-Gladbach yesterday, brilliant attacking football from both teams, and that pretty much defines BL, nice tempo and all out attack.. Bundesliga is viewed by its followers as 1 top team and like 1-2 bottom teams, the rest is a block of teams that have great quality going jojo, yeah BVB success bla bla, call me back if they have been top 3 the last seasons in 2016... BVB is closer to Leverkusen and Shalke than Bayern, its common that a team from the middle team block gone up against the 1 top team... like Wolfsburg in 2009 and BVB after that, Bremen and Stuttgart has also won in the 2000's

Its hard to establish yourself in the top but Leverkusen and BVB are trying right now, only time will tell if it works...
but BL is still a dynamic league where the top (except for Bayern) can change dramatically from season to season

Brilliant league to watch and follow

BTW do you have BL on your Tv?, otherwise think about buying Eurosport player, cheap and all BL games in HD

and the fans in BL are overthetop good, were talking ultras culture, its the best:

Thanks for the advice and info knibis. I actually believe the Bundesliga is the best league in the world currently. I'll try to watch some teams next week and hopefully I find a good team for me in the league (I'm not going for Dortmund or Bayern. Leverkusen and Hamburg are a possibility).

Just watch Wolfsburg, Leverkusen, Dortmund, Schalke 04, and Munich. They are like the big 5 of Germany.

Hamburg could have a bad season after losing Son, but I think Frankfurt can do better than their 6th place last season. I guess only time will tell.

I'm definitely watching Bayer Leverkusen this whole season. They've won all their games so far. I'm hoping for Son to have a big impact on Leverkusen.

He will probably ^ but he still needs time in order to adapt in the team.
When he does he will be very useful for Bayer.
Hamburg will have a bad season because of trainers poor choices(sobiech for example he took him from Dortmund's second team)
They have some good players but they need to make a huge effort in order to be on the top 8.
Otherwise they can even fight to avoid relegation

if Frankfurt can put the 6-1 loss in the first match day to Berlin behind them

You could start rooting for a specific team, and that way you would get more into the competition.

... or just wait for a team to appeal to you.

Just 'choosing' one, for the sake of it, seems like a very plastic way to go, to me. Just watch what you see, really, and see what you like.

I have a "favorite" team for most of the important european leagues, and that way I get more involved and more interested in following the development of the league together with the team I support. I dont choose those teams randomly, they are all my favorites for different reasons.

Yeah it's better to just watch multiple games of different teams and then let the team choose you.

Try Schalke first they play nice football. Or Wolfsburg.

best way to start follow BL is this Bundesliga simulcast(cover several games at once) stream that goes from 15:30 C.E.T every saturday.. good image quality and very enthusiastic commentators. you get to see so many goals from the 5-6 games in the stream

watch this hectic stream which is usually located on ch1 on stadium-live: <http://www.stadium-live.com/Channel1.html>

else, you can go from here: <http://www.wiziwig.tv/competition.php?part=sports&discipline=football>

Follow a particular team ( I like Mochen) and just watch it with Arabic commentary ( I know you know Arabic). Arabic commentators keep throwing saying facts about anything related to the two teams all game long

^It looks like we both follow the same Bundesliga team then :)
