Why isn't Rooney on that list? I thought his goals/game ratio was around 0.45? I thought LaLiga only but Schevchenko didn't play in LaLiga-may be I'm wrong?

@Ashwin

This isn't a 'La Liga only' list. Shevchenko, del Piero, Inzaghi, and van Basten are all on this list. As for Rooney, I just calculated his ratio to be 0.45, but he has scored less than 300 goals, which I assume is the category required to be on this list. This is a 'legends only' list.

EDIT:: I take that back. Vieri is on the list with 259 goals. I guess they must've missed Rooney.

I don't really trust this... I'd like to see what this source is.

Also, where is Alan Shearer, the most prolific English striker?

edit:
This is where this got the info from.

CR7 has played 687 games, which makes his ratio 0.62.

Interesting. I can't believe they miss something, there gotta be some kind of exclusion in their ranking mechanism.

BTW, is there any source mention the effectiveness (I guess it's only count for modern games when they have enough technology), then half of these legends wouldn't even be on the list....

Rooney :

Everton : apps : 77 ( goals : 17 )
Man United : apps : 445 ( goals : 217 )
Total club : apps : 522 ( goals : 234 )
Club rate : 0.45

England : apps 97 ( Goals : 41 )
Rate : 0.42

Total : Apps : 619 ( Goals : 275 )
Rate : 0.44

I dont know why he isnt included, Romario should be there as well.

RVP has 0.47 goals/game.

Edit: Maybe you need 250+ club goals as a criteria? That would make sense why a lot of the players were not included. But Shearer should definitely be on that list.
