That would be insane.

GÖTZE TO BAVARIA!!

Dortmund is powerless despite contract with Idol until 2016. Because of the national team may change in the summer for a committed transfer fee of around 37 million euros. Bavaria they paid.

After image information Götze has already signed a long-term contract with the new German champion.

Explosive: On 4 May by meetings between Bayern and Dortmund each other in the league. And: Both teams could also be in the Champions League on 25 May meet in the final in London.

Gotze to Bayern!

In Bavaria Idol will earn an estimated seven million euro salary per year - instead of the current five million in Dortmund.

Sorry for the bad translation, its from Google.

No, I just say that Bayern begin to buy every good players particularly in their league, they probably earned the money they spend but we don't care about that. The real problem is that : Good clubs never become Great clubs because of them (Great clubs) and I can understand that fans hate this modern money football.

That might be true but that's just how football works... remember when Dortmund bought Reus last year? Gladbach is not the same without Reus.  And Dortmund just got 37m € for Götze, I think they can get one or two great players for that amount of money.

@ fredtilson I'm sure bvb could have got it to £45m with more work.

Still, I think it was very stupid of BILD to make this transfer public right now, because it will definitely weaken Dortmund's focus on the game against Real Madrid. Why couldn't they wait until the end of the season...

well Ajax if Götze hadn't renewed his contract last year, he would have gone for ZERO €... so he and his consultant had pretty much all the aces in their hands during the negotiations with Dortmund..

He had one year left before he re-sign last summer?

NO. FUCKING. WAY!
This is truly unbelievable. Gotze is a BVB youth product. He is absolutely adored by the Dortmund faithful. He is still so young and had so much more to give to his team. I find this despicable behavior.

TWO THINGS:
1-The Clause was due to expire at the end of this April so Bayern had to do it now or never. HOWEVER, it was entirely up to Gotze if he wanted to go... which he decided to do, sadly.
2-For those asking, many prominent figures have said that Bayern "leaked" the story purposely now because they wanted to take the spotlight off of Uli Hoeness' Tax Evasion Trial (read up on it if you didn't know).

ARE DORMTUND MODELLING THEIR STRATEGY AFTER ARSENAL?
Focus on Youth Development? ✓
Try to play attractive football? ✓
Financially Stable? ✓
Selling Their Stars to DIRECT rivals? ✓

This is very sad news for German football. If Bayern can pluck the future heart of their direct rival & Germany's second-best team so easily, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the league.
Very disheartening. #AGAINSTMODERNFOOTBALL

footaholic please name one "prominent figure" that said so... and even if the information comes from Bayern (which I don't believe) it didn't quite work judging from today's BILD:

I agree that this is kinda despicable though, I'd rather have a strong rival and an interesting league too... But in the end it's Götze's decision, he really could have gone anywhere he wanted (Real,Barca, ManU, Chelsea, City, Arsenal etc.) but he decided to go to Bayern. He was born in Bavaria (Bayern), too.
