Good or Bad Season: PL Big Six

So, lets review the season of the big six in this thread okay? Let's start with the league winner, Manchester City.

Obviously, on the negative, people will note that City failed in the FA Cup against Wigan in the round of 16 and that they had to spend a lot this season to rebuild their team. On the somewhat negative, we could also talk about how their CL campaign ended at the quarter final againt rival Liverpool, but considering the fact most other English team had been already eliminated in the round of 16, I don't feel its so bad. Finally, but not the least, the positive, City won the league with a record 100 point and also won the League Cup in the second season Pep was in charge.

So what do you think? Did City had a good or bad season this time around?

In fact let’s ask Tuan. Do you want to swipe places with us?

Our season was awful. This was supposed to be the season where we challenged for the title, but we didn't even come close to competing against City. Our FA cup final was the only redeeming, althougth still unfulfilling, factor to our woeful season, and we lost disgracefully.

All and all, Mourinho and the lads still haven't solidified a certain playstyle, our defence still needs a lot more work to do because De Gea is carrying our asses week in, week out, all of our attackers have really underperformed this season, especially Martial and Rashford. So no, we didn't have a good season, and it'd be a disgrace if you think otherwise imo.

@iHEART Hum, didn't think it was so bad, I mean, its obviously wasn't as good as expected but league wise, I felt there was an huge improvement for United over last season.

Wouldn't having Sunflash opinion on this, considering he's been a long term defender of the progress United made compared to last year.

united fans had raised their standard tho despite finishing 2nd. I give up on arsenal, if emery gets top 4 next season it's a blessing.

Great: Liverpool, City
Okay: United, Spurs
Bad: Chelsea

I don't even consider Arsenal a "Top 5" team anymore. They haven't shown any sign of life in recent years.

City have had an amazing Premier League Season - they absolutely bossed the league, most points, most goals, most wins etc etc
However, in other cups they haven't done so well (they still won the EFL cup)

Liverpool have had an immense season but with nothing to show for it.

Man Utd have been too inconsistent

Chelsea need a new manager (and stadium)

Tottenham need more big name players to boost the club

Arsenal need to get a life....(and maybe are beginning to)

@Dynastian Thats harsh mate. :( But I can't really argue with that, let's just hope Emery does something to bring back Arsenal to its former glory.

Ask United fans if they want to swipe places with us as FA cup winners for top 4 finish. Their majority answer will pretty much sum up our season.

Well put. That being said, I think United may have had slightly more in the way of ambitions this year. 2nd is by no means a good result when it doesn't come with anything else.
