Wow. Football these days!
Shame on him!
Why do you instantly jump to the conclusion that he told Miranda to hit Messi? Godin could've been telling Miranda to keep an eye on Messi even if his thigh is injured. He could've also been telling Miranda to keep Messi on his left side, because his thigh is injured and he won't be able to shoot with his left. It does not necessarily mean that he intended harm, because Messi had the ball taken away from him every time anyways.
Υes of course!
But I would like listening to your opinion if on the video was Alves,Mascherano and Ronaldo in the middle. :)
@Don
My opinion would be the same. I'm guessing by what you're saying, you expect me to be biased for Real, right?
I actually have a thing against Mascherano because of his dirty little antics, but even if he did that to Ronaldo, I wouldn't be convinced that he intended harm unless I actually SEE him tackle Ronaldo from his injured side. In this case, Miranda didn't tackle Messi brutally or anything at all, so I don't see how Godin intended harm.
Harsh tacticks by Godin
@Dynastian are you serious? He was clearly telling him to attack the side Messi was clutching because he was alread in pain there! This is pathetic!
@Rama
But how do you know? Did you read his lips? Did Miranda even tackle him there? Where is your proof? Give me proof, and then I will believe you. But we only saw Godin from his back-side, so there is no proof of intentional harm. We do not know what he told Miranda, and we cannot simply jump to conclusions.
@Dynastian nobody uses a punching motion to say look out after Messi even if he's injured, it is clearly showing him to attack in that area, the game was also intense, there were arguments, the way the game was played i think he meant to do it
@Wayne
My apologies. I didn't see the punching notion quite clearly the first time. But Miranda didn't tackle Messi that way. And things like these happen in games all the time. I'm not even that surprised. The only reason people pounce on it is because it is Messi. Any other player, and no one would care.
Damn, and then they go on after the game ask for shirt exchange and what not.
What a shame, I actually like Godin but damn that's just bad.
@Dynastian exactly, probably Miranda didn't do it because he was to scared or it didn't feel right to him, and as Gannady said, it probably happens a lot but it not caught in the camera
@dynast the intention is clear, but in the other hand, he never falls, its the only way to stop him; not really fair-play but it's 21th century Football.
@mindset good to see you here :), you' re welcome.
Another way to look at this is Godin looks like he is happy that Messi is hurt. Regardless, trashy thing to do.
@dynstian wha'ts the fisting motion for then?
^ If that was any player on Barcelona other than the hated trio of Mascherano, Busquets, and Alves, people would care. These three are relatively infamous for their antics, so no one really spares much sympathy for them. If that was say, Pedro or Tello, I would feel really bad for whoever Godin stepped on. Alves..... not so much. :P
But still stupid from Godin. Surprised he didn't get fined for it later. This is why I like the English FA better, because they actually fined Balotelli for his stomp.
^agree with you, if it was someone else people would be going crzy
and i don't know how he didn't get fined..
