Goal of the Week! (ending Sep 20 2013)

Hey folks! Back again with the ol' GotW competition, and what a week it has been for great goals across Europe. We've seen some wonderful team play goals, some fantastic volleys and free kicks, and as usual, some belters from 30 yards out.

But, we can only have 3 main contenders, so I've whittled them down to what (I think) are the top 3.

As always, if you think I've missed something special that deserves to be in here more, then let us know, but otherwise, vote for your favorite.

(oh, and while I don't think it's in the Top 3, I do think you should treat yourselves to watching Eriksen's first goal for Spurs... O:)

Enjoy!

^^ Ronaldo's one was good, but I don't consider it better than the 3 chosen. That second one is pretty awesome, though. :)

I agree with Lodatz, Ronaldo's & Weiss's goals were great but a terrible defending, while the other 3 goals no one can do much about it. I love goals from long range and volleys. Thats one of the reasons I love Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes so much :) If a team wants to play defensive, then long shots like that can solve the problem.

Ronaldo's goal wins it hands down for me. A typical ronaldo goal, full of power and confidence. Great goal imo.

Just pointing something out: when bale scored similar goals to Erikson's goal last season, it was much more widely heard of and hyped..

^^ True, but Bale generally did it under higher pressure, and for higher stakes. Firing in 30-yard screamers to win a tense game in the last few mins will always get more attention than making it 3-0 after a boring second half, I guess.

@Alex

Weiss' one was terrible defending? He dribbled past Thiago Silva, mate. :P
