He deserved it. The results Valencia were getting did not match the club, and he wasn't offering them any solutions.

That is a perfect example of why you don't want to start your managing career in a place with high (or any) expectations. Starting with a B team or team in a lower division allows a new manager to practice tinkering without getting wreaked by the fans/press.

Like Sunflash said, it was coming, its a bit sad, but not a suprising choice considering the poor results the team was giving. I agree a new manager should start his career in a team with lower expectation, not doing so will without a doubt put a lot of pressure on the man in charge and may in turn weaken his reputation and make him lose confidence.

The defense was in shambles and the midfield did nothing to protect it. This was very surprising to see considering Neville was a renowned defender, and thus should theoretically be able to apply effective defensive strategies in his tactics. He deserved the sacking though.

About time. He should have been sacked after getting destroyed by Barcelona. He was never a good fit, especially since he had no experience in managing or Spanish football. I would like to see Voro as caretaker. Mourinho could be a possibility too.

agreed! I expected him to last longer and strengthen the defend way more the way he did considering he was a great one. :(

We kinda saw this coming though.

I too find it every interesting when he's back to his pundit role. But don't worry, he is smart enough to use this whole thing to make sense out of similar circumstances, be more sympathy to other coaches etc... A different point of view from now on I hope

Nuno was surely going to be missed, Neville was a bargain in a moment Valencia needed guarantees, the new président is wealthy but surely not a Football expert, back to basis now...
