Foreign Players Limit Rule

Today with the news coming; Turkish Football Federation has made a revolutionary decision by removing the Limit on starting 11. Still The teams should have 14 Foreign and 14 Home-grown players in their squad with 28 Players. This years rule was 5+3 ; 5 foreign players should be in starting 11 and 3 foreigners on the bench. That's all.
The new rule I think will prevent the teams to pay overprices for the Turkish Footballers.

What do you think about Premier League's condition? Should the Federation establish a Foreign Limit for the benefit of National team? We see that English Players are overpayed already without a Limit Rule; so if they set up this rule what happens next?

I don't see thats happening in England considering the teams current squad.

This new rule is gonna be a revolutionary decision for turkish football, that's for sure. As a Galatasaray fan, I can easily say that we suffered a lot with those 5+3 or 6+0+4 rules. It effected our both football quality and economic condition. We payed 4.75 euros for that Camdal guy who is not even an average player and payed 4.5 euros for Olcan Adin who is an average player also, for example. we transfered all those players just because of this stupid rule and we don't even play with them now. If this rule wasn't exist we could transfer better players with exact same amount of money and we would be in a better place in europe now. And I'm not talking just about Galatasaray, all Turkish football would be in a better place.

Anyway, that foreign player limit was just useless and stupid I'm really happy that its removed.

Agreed. Olcan is kinda useful but players like Veysel, Çamdal were really waste of money.
But Beşiktaş will be the most affected team negatively. We did our plans for 5+3 and Federation was saying that the rule will not be removed or changed. Now they reorganized the rule. If you make your moves in a planned way in Turkey, you will take a knock.
Generally, I am happy with the new rule. Now our teams must be careful about the Financial Fair Play. Because UEFA is trying to find a way to ban Turkish teams from Europe, as you know Bursaspor is already banned for next year or maybe even for 2 years if they can't pay their debt until February I guess. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think Besiktas will be affected that much. I even think Bilic is happier now. He has a great vision and he really knows how to play modern football. Now he can add his good team great players and create a better team which can compete in europe against big teams. Also, Fikret Orman was saying that he is OK with any rules that will be made for 2015/2016. I don't think he'll be disappointed too. I think the new rule will make all the big teams happier.

And I'm totally agree with you about this FFP thing. Turkish clubs are really struggling with it and they will struggle more if they wont be careful about it. As you said, Bursaspor is already banned, and Galatasaray are having an hard time. They must be careful if they want to be in europe next years.

And Turkish Football Federation have to control clubs' financial condition as well.

Yes I heard that every club president said yes to this new regulation. A whole new football season is ahead of us. I look forward for 2015/2016 season already. Especially the transfer season.
