DID YOU KNOW?

1) The German national team has never lost a game in which Miroslav Klose has scored

2) Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Carlos Tevez all share the same birthdate (February 5th)

3) Pele and Garrincha never lost a game when they played together

4) The last time Liverpool won a league title** was in 1989-90, which was their 18th title. They have never won one since. And Arsenal fans complain about lack of trophies. ;)**

5) Ferenc Puskas scored his 1000th goal 6 years before Pele did

I think #5 is debatable. As far as I recall, it was simply an anecdote that he told, not anything official.

4) - Arsenal complain because they haven't won a trophie in 8 years. Didn't Liverpool win the Carling Cup or something 2 seasons ago?

Yes, and so is Pele's. Pele's goals were documented, EVEN IN FRIENDLIES. He scored around 300 goals in friendlies, all of which were documented towards his "1000 goals". What's more is that there isn't video for every single Santos goal he has scored either. Not many people really know how many goals he had scored for Santos. At least Puskas has documented a total of 700 goals in 705 official matches, and Pele supposedly has 757 goals in 812 official matches. Even FIFA themselves called Puskas the top scorer of the 20th century, which should give credit to his work. :P

Well, he IS approaching age 35. And he hasn't been "thrown out". He played the 4-3 loss against USA. He was captaining us that match. :P

I feel Gomes walked in the team 2 years ago when the euro started, later Klose was used.
