Ok guys, I have decided to a series where I compare to players of the same position (Unless it is something like Ronaldo VS Messi) with a video. I then let you decide. So, here goes!

Cech is better for me, Not saying Casillas is crap, but Casillas is overrated.

I'd put Cech, Casillas and Buffon up there as the greatest 3 goalkeepers of the last decade.

Van der Sar has a good case, alongside Julio Cesar, but Lehmann nowhere near.

Casillas in some aspects is overrated

Casillas is an extremely complete keeper.
Cech is a combination of perfect diving and reflexes.

I'm not taking anything away from Casillas, but he hasn't really been on good form in his recent seasons (Mourinho could be blamed a bit, I guess). Whereas Cech has possibly had his greatest season with Chelsea last year and is still making some world class saves until now. Cech for me.

Casillas is no where near overrated. He is one of the main reasons for Spain's and Madrid's successes. You should see the saves he pulls off! For example, saving a 1 on 1 with Robben in the World Cup 2010 finals.

Casillas is better imo.

I'd say that Casillas was better for his club before Mourinho came. Mourinho's improved defense took away a lot of attention from Casillas, and that's why he seemed to have "deproved". He has deproved now, undoubtedly, after he broke his hand, but he was still in top notch form before his injury (especially for Spain). As for Cech, he is an outstanding keeper. He's not as good as Casillas in his prime, but he is still very very good.

This season Casillas has been poor. He has been underachieving, Or it's just because he is getting too old.

This video has crap graphics but it shows that Casillas is slightly overrated.

@Master How is Casillas overrated?? Methinks you're just hating saying that over and over. Without him Spain would've never won the World Cup or the Euro for that matter. Not Many can talk about having played for Real Madrid for almost 14 years (Even longer if you include his youth career) Cech is amazing but for me there's no comparison to Casillas.

READ MY EARLIER COMMENT. "IN SOME ASPECT CASILLAS IS OVERRATED" yes he was great at the 2010 world cup, but he needs to improve in some areas, like handling the ball more easily.
