For those who might not know him, Brian Clough is well known for taking Nottingham Forrest from Division 3 to Division 1 in English League and he also won 2 Champions League with the team. Thus his quote means that he can do impossible things in a day (like N'gham Forrest).

Liverpool were at the peak of glory when this comment came from Bob Paisley. Surely it shows his confidence in his team.

Bill Shankly managed Liverpool before Paisley took over (regarded as most successful managers of all time)

Shankly was a funny guy by the sounds of it. I totally picture Cantona saying that in all seriousness.

@footahoic : for that John Cryuff quote, the first part represents current Spain and the second line represents current Arsenal. You agree ?

Agree with the second part but NOT the first. I thought people were crazy to call Spain boring. They play some of the most beautiful football I have ever, or will ever, witness. But maybe I'm a purist (that's probably why I follow the Arsenal and like Zeman's teams).

People say, 
Chelsea only defends in their box
Barcelona is happy with passing and keeping possession
Spain only passes and plays boring football
Real Madrid is only good at counter attacking

Guess what, nothing stated above is against football rules
So I happily raise my middle finger to these people.
