He's being portrayed as a traitor.

And that really pisses me off. Why is everyone classifying him as a traitor? This is his job, if he is being offered a better place with a higher salary he should automatically accept it. Any sane person would do the same.

@Ven

Yes, but he should also have respect for the club that raised him and made him the player who he is today. He shouldn't go and join Dortmund's arch rivals Bayern like that. If he joined any OTHER team, no one would be complaining. It's like how Figo joined Real from Barca. It's a sign of utter disrespect towards Barcelona from Figo. Yes, Barca fans should be happy that Figo won so much with them. But Figo should acknowledge that, and be more respectful to his old club than to join Madrid. It was a disgraceful decision.

Why should he not join Bayern? Just because he played for Dortmund? Bayern is the best team to go to and he knows that. There is no better place than Bayern to him. He stays in the Bundesliga and doesn't have to adapt to a new league, no language barrier, German friends=smooth transition and Bayern aren't even Dortmund's actual rivals! He had every right to go there because its the best choice for him.

Well, technically, they kinda ARE Dortmund's rivals, but I guess we just have different opinions on this type of thing. :P
