I think they're slightly outdated but good info regardless.
Quality of the Player creates demand for the club . If Club and agent agree that his arrival will increase profits and will gain more in long run , then they work out a deal that will justify his price tag and weekly wages for his service .
Most players justify their wages via commercial merchandize and via performances for the club. Question is do they deserve it ? I think yes . I used to think not . However, now I see that they bring enough profit to justify their price tags and wages in long run . Also player pay taxes that reduces amount they make . Plus , clubs making tons of money this days from different kind of sources and can easily afford to splash such money .
What i hate though is that they splash money but god damn match day tickets are still rocket high !!! Keep fcking over football fans .

Odegaard earns more than Carvajal.... I'm done.
Bayern wages are very fair, but Gotze earns more than Muller.
Madrid wages are.... well, they're typical distorted Madrid wages.
Barca wages seem relatively typical.
City have insane wages.
Evra earns more than Pogba, Buffon, and Pirlo at Juventus.... and Llorente earns the second-most
Costa earns more than Hazard.... wtf
Lampard wage is ridiculous...

florentino perez is ridiculous. to give odegaard more than carvajal. odegaard is too young to be getting 40k. should be 10k
Costa does not earn more than Hazard . Those wages are outdated .
@Marcus
Then I'll assume that Hazard recently signed a new contract this season?
Yes in February . 5 and a half years worth 200 mil pounds . Costa makes 150 pounds a week .
Great post thanks.
Wtf... Beside all the odds @Dyn mentioned, take a look at Torres: 180k????? SERIOUSLY, that's more than Robben.
Some wages are ridiculous. For example:
Lampard earns more than Silva
Ashley Young earns more than half of United
Torres earns 175.000? LMAO
Odegaard more than Carvajal?
And on other side Juventus and PSG have fair wages.
After seeing Lampard's wage it only leads me to believe that he signed for Man City, instead of NY City
LOL Torres ! Doubles Mandzukic. Just ridiculous.
Wonder how much millions all these mentioned clubs spend just on salaries together in one week.
^ Was going to do it yesterday, but i was a bit lazy :)
I see PSG's wages as the most unusual compared to the rest. They are way lower than most of the other team wages and still seem fair. How is Thiago Silva being payed only 75k? Wage differences between positions is ridiculous. Verrati, Matuidi, Lucas, Sirigu and many more could be payed twice as much.
Also, how can anyone complain about EPL overpaying players after looking at RM and Barcelona's wages?
Are you serious ? Did Costa paid 200.000 in Spain ? Did cesc, did Alexis, Did Di Maria, Did Ozil ? A player from Spain double his wages in PL...
Atleti, Sevilla and Valencia players earn less than West brom or Swansea players, is it logical ?
Without talking about midtable players earning 1/4 what QPR, Newcastle and co offer in term of wages for an average player...

@Tuanis why should they? Is 75k not enough? Not every football player wants 300k salary to stay in the club.

United is over paying or rooney...
@Tiki that is completely different. Those clubs pay players a decent amount because they have the money and they can afford it. Most of those players deserve that salary. Overpaying a players means he shouldn't be making that much money according to what they provide for the club or how good they are. You have the concepts wrong. You cant compare a wage for a player like Song or Khedira with the ones of players like Cesc or Alexis.
@quikzyyy Im not saying the amount itself is fair, but considering other players not even halve as good as Thiago or Verrati make way more then they really should be making a little more money. Both of them could be having 100k or higher wage.
Yes i know what overpaying means, im just pointing that when a player leaves Barça/Madrid for PL, he gets his wages doubled...
And also that players of the same level at times are paid much higher in PL than in any other league, the fact that clubs can afford it or no doesnt take into consideration that they are still overpaid.
Anyway from the few clubs i listed you cant get to the conclusion you made, if you make a performence/wages statistical analyze, PL would have the lowest mark, they pay a lot and they have few results in return...
