Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus are
locked in a three-way battle to sign Arsenal captain Robin van Persie, who
reportedly will not be joining the Gunners on their pre-season tour of the Far
East.
The three clubs have all declared their interest in buying
want-away striker Van Persie but have so far failed to meet the Gunners'
valuation of the 28-year-old.

"Obviously Arsenal have given out the fact that we've made a bid for him,"
Sir Alex Ferguson told MUTV.

"We try to keep business as close as possible to us until the moment we
conclude a deal. There's no point talking about something that might not
happen.

"There are other clubs interested in the player. We've shown an interest and
that's where we're at at the moment."

United, City and Juve are said to be happy to pay somewhere in the region of
£15 million but Arsenal are thought to be demanding in excess of £20m for their
star player.

The Gunners are said to be prepared to hold out for more than £25m for Van
Persie, who they appear to have all but given up trying to convince to sign a
new deal at the Emirates Stadium to replace the one that expires next
summer.

According to widespread reports, manager Arsene Wenger has opted against
including Van Persie, who this month went public with his desire to quit the
club, in the club's pre-season tour.

Where will he go? I want him to go to united, they deserve him the most...but i doubt he'll go to a rival club

And so it begins. They want him, fine but they have to pay a fair price. Don't want another daylight robbery like with Cesc. I think 
£20-25 is more than fair. He's the reigning player of the year, golden boot holder, our top goal scorer, our top assister, and our "captain". FFS, we received £25 for Nasri and even Swansea's Allen is valued at  £15.. He shouldn't go for any less than 
£25.
If they don't like it, they can do one.

It's just my opinion but I don't think RVP belongs at United.

I'm a Manchester United supporter and Robin van Perise is a fantastic player. Any club that has him in the squad would be an asset, no doubt about that. However, I think that there has to be a certain amount of respect Manchester United needs to show to their Arsenal. I just feel awkward if an Arsenal player came to Manchester United. He wouldn't be a REAL United player. That's like saying Ronaldo going to Barcelona or Messi going to Madrid. I would just rather RVP to go to Juventus where he can start fresh. However, I don't know why RVP isn't going to stay at Arsenal. He could be a true legend there. It's not too late to turn back RVP. Stay at Arsenal.
