What a horrible performance it was, just another match where we saw that Moyes have no idea what he's doing..... poor poor performance....

Is it a good idea to continue using moyes? or is it better to sack him and let the coach handle it for the rest of the season?

Chelsea had a similar situation with AVB (although the opposition is arguably a weaker team this time... 3-1 loss for first leg and came back 4-1) so maybe sacking him will come good?

I don't think that it's JUST Moyes fail. Yea, let Cleverly, Young, Valencia to starting XI isn't the smartest thing. But you can't blame only him. The players wasn't even trying, they were totally without passion.

Well, for starters, Moyes had inherited a team that won the Premier League title in 2012-13. He is now 7th place in the league. A lot of people may say that Sir Alex had a poor first season too, but he received the team when it was almost in the relegation zone (or I think United actually were in the relegation zone), and he picked them up to 11th from there. And the next season, he finished 2nd. So a clear improvement, even within his first season. Moyes has not been able to get anywhere near that.

United lost in the FA Cup to Chelsea last season in the Sixth Round, and got knocked out by Swansea in the Third Round this season.

They lost in the C1C to Chelsea last season, and lost to Sunderland this season.

And of course, they got knocked out by Real Madrid last season because of a very poor decision by the referee (which completely changed the outcome of the game), and are currently about to be knocked out by Olympiakos.

In conclusion, no. Moyes is not the manager for United. His team is falling apart, and aside from Januzaj's emergence and Rooney's re-motivation, there hasn't been much improvement at all under Moyes.

The players are no longer behind the coach, its obvious. I felt United Midlefield was empty, trying long crosses and praying to get lucky was never the style of play i admire.
Its time to sack him and try to change atmosphere around players, that was just Olympiacos, with the right fighting spirit you can trash them at Old trafford.
Barça made it last year with a weak defence against Milan, if players really want qualification, its not impossible.

Moyes is not a bad tactician as everyone assumes , but I think he built a weak coaching staff ( Phill Nevile ? Lol) and squad he inherited is hard to manage with top management experience or assistance from good coaching staff .
Also I think Moyes lacks top class communication skills whether it is during press conference or within the club with squad . For Example , Sir Alex's half time talk is one of the most powerful ones that would make average players like Cleverly and Young turn into world class in second half.

@Dynast Agreed, plus SAF was Scotish champion before comming to England. He really showed all his brilliance before being recruited, Moyes has NEVER won anything and Everton is just doing as great without him and Fellaini.
@Marcus Yeah, communication is not his main quality...

Laurent Blanc was linked to coach United, and he is a person that could stay years in the same club. And to be honest, Who can say NO to be the long term replacement of SAF ?
I didnt like him from the start and i respect United fans for being that patient with Moyes, but wake up guys, he cant do anything even next year against Mou/Wenger/Pellegrini except fighting for a 4th place.

Everybody knew it won't be easy to replace SAF. I think it's not just his fault, but maybe he can't motivate players or something. But I would more blame players which are playing.

Moyes = Allegri

watched the 2nd half of the CL game vs Olympiacos, MU was just embarassing. totally lost, not motivated, with any guidance at all. Moyes is not MU material. great clubs need coaches with the balls, plain and simple. the season's gone, if the board doesn't have any excellent name (meaning someone who can concretely open a new cycle), then pray that Moyes ends the season with dignity. if the board has that name, then better sack him now, so the club can end this season decently AND put the basis for the next one. in the 1st case tho', wouldn't be bad to try to lure Klopp, he'd do well at MU.

7th in table is just not the worst of it. The worst is how we have been playing... completely like headless chickens with the 80s style... crossing crossing, rushing to the wings, crossing... movement without the ball is absolutely shit... literally everything is wrong... It's true that not only Moyes is to be blamed but also the players. But as the manager, Moyes was NO WHERE near sufficient to do his job so far.

I dunno how many players we have to buy to have nice playing style .. . Watching current squad is making me sick.... We need 5 players to make something.. Can't wait to finish the worst football season since I follow United. And don't waste your words,Moyes going nowhere .

@mladen The funny thing is, is that we have those "5 players to make sometihng." We have kagawa, we have chicharito, we have Mata, we have fellaini, and if that is not enough we have januzaj who can be the best player on the field at times. Unfortunatley, we can have the entire real madrid or bayern munich roster, and we still wouldn't win.

@messi6511, Yeah, they are great,on PES14 I destroying opponents wit MUFC team, but reality is something different ... Moyes experimenting almost whole season ... He will buy new players,no doubt, but only world class players will help us to improve. ... I m mad and confused .... ;(

When 1 or 2 players are out of form comparing to the year before, its mostly their faults...
But when the whole squad who with the same players was 12 pts above the 2nd in the league last year, play that bad, its mainly a coach problem....

^yup, 100% agreed for tiki_taka, messi6511, tuan_jinn

and Dynastian98.

Moyes pretty much used the same team as last year. Cleverly, Young and Valencia never worked out under moyes but idk why he's stubborn and keep using them... I was especially surprised to not see januzaj playing today...

I still don't understand why Moyes loves to have his players cross the ball.... clearly never worked out....

I'm sorry man utd fans but if you don't sack him now, your season is over....

De Gea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Fellaini, Januzaj, Kagawa, Rooney, Mata, Van Persie, Hernandez, etc... with those players you simply can't afford to be 7th in EPL and lose to Olympiacos by 2 goals with such a mediocre display.
the coach and his staff are not qualified to compete a these levels. if there's a lack of physical condition, that's responsibility of the coach, and his staff.

United just washing. Washing the WHOLE squad, players, coach.... They should be actve in transfers and let go useless players. it needs to be a real revolution because ATM if they continue like that I don't know what's gonna happen.
