Falmini's red card and 3 match ban.

I've recently re-watched Falmini's red-carded tackle and for me it has to be a sending off, if not a heavy yellow card. It was an irresponsible tackle, not only because it was two-footed with the studs up but because he probably would have won the ball without the lunge. I'm very disappointed with it, and now we have 3 titular midfielders out. Way to go buddy.

Direct red or not?

It should not be a red card, though in modern football those kind of challenges is. Yeah of course i know the leg will probably snap if you miss the ball but thats part of the game. And i didn't quite get the part where you said as a Arsenal fan i should know better? Which club you support should be pretty irrelevant on your opinions on football. Back in the day those type of tackles would make a free kick at most. Nowadays you get booked for everything. Including celebrating in front of the opposition fans. WHAT THE HELL? Or something like taking your shirt off i mean come on. And its so much diving and going to the ground intentionally so yes it has become a pansies game. One of the few teams not being pansies left are Stoke City, proper lads.

I live in this century which is unfortunately the one with the most brainwashed ignorants. If you just look back in the 90s these tackles would never be close to a red card. But television money from sky and foreign investors ruining the league has made deals with the FA so that football shouldn't appear so "violent" so more people will embrace it.

If Flamini got a red for that foul, Rafael deserved to be sent off vs Chelsea yet didnt even receive a yellow card.

@ArsenalGunners
That's why there are no United fans saying that that isn't a red card. I openly admit that he should've gotten a red card for that. Yet Arsenal fans on the other hand...

So a straight red card in England is a three match ban, and a double-yellow is a one match ban?

man_utd majority of Arsenal fans said Flamini was red just look at previous page.

Dynastian i think if you get double yellow you get no match ban.

Haha yes im one hell of a lunatic. Football isnt freefighting but its supposed to have some roughness in it and raw passion. Not like now when you get a red for a "dangerous" challenge or get sacked like Di canio for telling the players they got **** for brains. Which proves the players have become wimps.
