true... when I saw how they ran toward the ball... man everyone knows 7/10 they would miss it...
This match was one of the weirdest matches I've ever watched.
+1 emercan.
Benfica defense is one of the best in Europe, Sevilla did what they could, Fazio was heroic and Rakitic man of the match.
3rd EL for Sevilla in less than 10 years, congrats to them, their first one was against Middlesbrough ( 4-0 ) in 2006, one year later they won against Espagnol in PK (2-2 in the scoresheet) and here is their 3rd trophy...

Oh would you believe it, another prediction correct :)
nice
Haha Dephased, i predicted a Pk final too :), Sevilla players were very tired in their last Liga game so i wasnt confident about their win, Benfica were more fresh and didnt compete in the League since they alredy won it, but Sevilla were heroic.
Spanish midtable clubs have won 6 of the 11 last Europa league trophies, but you cant do nothing to make people change their mind and look obectively to reality... ( ;) to Lodatz ).

For me, Spanish League is the best.
@Emre
We're still on our way there. We're certainly one of the two best leagues in the world, and in my opinion, the best. :)
Are you sure guys we can say this without being in trouble guys ? :)
Im not sure about the best league, every one has his preferences but la Liga Spanish teams are the most competitive clubs actually in Europe.

Well, look at Sevilla They were 9th place in La Liga last year. Malaga and Vallecano(I guess) were banned from Europe so they made it to Europa League and won it.
@Tiki
Most competitive in recent years, yes. Prior to 2011, it was England running riot in Europe. All those runs to the semi-finals by Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea...... my God. O.O

And they say Messi and Ronaldo score $hit load of goals because La Liga is -h-t... :D.
This just mean those 2, and the 2 clubs are out of this world
@Tuan
Madrid scored 7 to Sevilla (7-3) in a wonder game, i went crazy but lodatz told me that was just Sevilla, as if they were a championship team. In the same week 0-5 to galatasaray, same excuse. But since Schalke and Bayern i though he would change his mind, still not.
I pointed CL results for 2 years now, who is able to score 10 goals in CL ? Let alone 15 goals...
If Messi/Ronaldo had not the same goal scoring rake, we could say maybe la liga defenses are shi*. But they were able to score Hattricks, 4 to Arsenal, 5 to Leverkusen, and still no recognition from EPL fanboys ( Not all of them by the way, only few were jumping each time i commented, now they are disapearing from time to time ;) )
Now, there is no need to even argue, things are becoming very clear unless for those who doesnt want to see and Fan boys who are not able to admit they were wrong.
Well if Sevilla are weak then Benfica are weak. And if Benfica are weak, Tottenham are weaker...
We all know that Spurs are not weak :), so the first Hypothese is false.
Conclusion : Sevilla are not weak.

Hey man, let's not forget that Sevilla were in a terrible run of form at that point in time. They really picked up their game in 2014. :/
And yeah, people say that La Liga defenses are sh*t, and that's how Ronaldo/Messi score so many goals, and yet they completely ignore Ronaldo/Messi's record in Europe. Their European goalscoring spree just about speaks for itself. I mean, Ronaldo has the same amount of goals as Suarez (31) in the league, and has 16 goals in 10 games in the Champions League. He's scored 1 vs. Dortmund, 2 vs. Bayern, 3 vs. Copenhagen, Galatasaray, Juventus, and 4 vs. Schalke. He's finding it easier to score against top teams from other leagues than he is against La Liga teams. So that should be enough proof that La Liga is just as good (if not better) than the EPL at the moment.
"Well if Sevilla are weak then Benfica are weak. And if Benfica are weak, Tottenham are weaker..."
Lol, everyone knows Spurs are pretty sh*t at the moment. They've been sh*t since they made the mistake of firing Villas-Boas. Even under him, progress was being made, but he was still getting thrashed by teams left and right. If Barca can dispatch of Man City 4-1 with ease, God knows how one-sided the scoreline would be against Spurs or United LOL.

i think all ppl who watch and have watched La Liga regulary can see why it is number 1 in the uefa rankings, you see the class the most by looking at the mid and bottom teams in the league.. the fact that barca and real are sooo good is the reason why people see la liga as worse than it is. ppl often fail to so that the other teams are really good aswell beating other teams in europe and schocking ppl who dont know la liga (ex, atletic 2 years ago). barca and real woul have been really overpowered in PL aswell (if not even more so)
..and dont forget that 3 of 4 la liga teams that has been knocked out was knocked out by another la liga team, so they might have reached further if they were not up against another la liga team
On Wednesday night, Sevilla of Spain and Benfica of Portugal contest the latter, with the match to be held in the Juventus Stadium in Turin, Italy.
Both clubs have reached the same final in recent years, with Benfica being defeated by Chelsea just last season, while Sevilla won twice consecutively in 2006 and 2007.
Approach to the Final
Sevilla topped a weak-looking Group H unbeaten, winning and drawing three times to finish top ahead of Slovan Liberec, Freiburg and Estoril.
They then beat Maribor 4-3 over two legs in the round of 32, beat fellow Spanish side Real Betis on penalties after a 2-2 aggregate draw in the next round, before knocking out FC Porto in the quarter-finals, 4-2 on aggregate.
Another Spanish side followed in the semis, as Sevilla knocked out Valencia on away goals after a 3-3 aggregate draw.
Opta : Benfica are the only remaining unbeaten side in the 2013/14 Europa League. Answer
Benfica placed third in the Champions League Group C, behind PSG and Olympiacos, the latter only on account of their head-to-head record. As such, they dropped into the Europa League to face Greek side PAOK in the round of 32, winning 4-0 on aggregate.
A back-and-forth tie against Tottenham in the next round ended with an ultimately comfortable 5-3 aggregate win, before Dutch side AZ were dispatched in the quarters, 3-0 overall. Benfica then beat Juventus 2-1 on aggregate in the semis to reach the final.
Benfica's Brilliant Back Line :
One of Benfica's main strengths this season, at home and abroad, has been their defence.
In winning the Portuguese Primeira Liga, Benfica conceded just 18 goals all season, with just six of those being conceded at home. They also went unbeaten all campaign at home, winning 12 and drawing three.
During Benfica's run to the Europa League final, they conceded just four times in their eight games, with two of those goals coming in the space of two crazy minutes against Tottenham in the round of 16.
