What is your prediction for this match guys?

It's never easy to play in Turkey. You and I know that. When you played each other in the Champions League quarter finals last season, it could easily have gone the other way. Cech had two brilliant legs (especially the first one), one of your men saved the ball on the line, Benfica were cheated on a hand ball by Terry that should have been a penalty and Benfica had the most chances overall.

Also, this was a whole year ago. I know you should always cheer for your team, like you do, Alex, but I just want to point out the fact that Benfica is no opponent that is a matter of course for Chelsea to win against.

We could try a comparison between the players? :)

@Golden I never underestimated Benfica they are capable of beating any team, This is football after all and anything can happen :) anyways we will see in 6 days ;)

@Alex ; Sorry, but I really think it's gonna be 1-sided. I know how strong Benfica are, but Chelsea are stronger in every position.

@ramaboy I know, but 4-1 is too much really I can't put all my money on that as a fair and well fought game by both of them my prediction wouldn't exceed 2-1 for Chelsea. :)

Artur v Cech = Chelsea
Pereira v Ivanovic = Equal
Luisão v Luiz = Equal
Garay v Cahill = Benfica
Almeida v Cole = Chelsea
Pérez v Ramires = Chelsea
Matic v Lampard = Benfica
Salvio v Oscar = Equal
Gaitán v Mata = Equal
John v Hazard = Chelsea
Cardozo v Ba = Benfica

That makes Chelsea better in 4 out of 11 positions, whereas Benfica takes 3 out of 11. As for the rest, I think they're similar in terms of overall quality.

In my opinion, that sounds pretty damn fair. :)

I agree with you golden but i like to add that there are other factors to what makes a great team such as, formation, tactic, how well players connect on the field with other players and much more...

Gaitan is an amazing Player but not equal with Mata.
Also there is no need to analyse their XI..
Try the same for BVB-Real Madrid and see who won.Try the same for Tottenham-Basel.Chelsea-Barcelona/Bayern.
Its not only about who has stronger players at any position.Especially when it is a final!

I totally agree, both knibis and Don. There are definitely other factors who plays in as well, but I was rather replying to rama who said Chelsea are stronger in every position -- which I clearly disagree. :)

Edit: @Alex: Nope. In my opinion, all of those I put 'Equal' on are on a pretty similar level.

Don't even try, Juan. I'm more than confident you haven't watched a single Benfica game this season, perhaps apart from under European circumstances. Hopefully he'll be in as good form as he's been all season against Chelsea, then you'll withdraw your comment.

Actually I've seen the match against Porto, but I don't even have to watch Benfica matches to know that Lampard is better. And hell no, I won't withdraw my comment =)
