EPL - What team should i support next year ? ? ?
Oturan51 9 years ago
Paris Saint-Germain, France 2 111

I'm a PSG fan (and will be for ever !! :) )

but i'd like to follow more often the EPL and not only the good games . so i'd like to pick a team to route for in this league! When i was little it was arsenal (because Henry :) ) but i'm not such a fan any more to be honest (i really feel that they lack passion... sorry arsenal fans !).

So it's between ManU (to see how martial and all the others young talents do next year) / ManC (vry intertaining players to watch even if not alway playing well) / Spurs (if they manage to keep roughly the same team/ their football is good to watch as well! )
And if any team gets Ibra then i'll watch them of curse ^^!

ANY ADVICE ???? :D

Spurs is always a nice competitive choice to support. Man Utd. isnt in its greatest of forms atm.

all three of those clubs are in a period of transition. however tottenham seem the most likely to end that transition period. so if you want consistsncy and entertainment then tottenham should be your choice.

If I was not a Chelsea fan I would be surely United due to Scholes/Keane/Giggsy but since this era is gone, I would pick a passionate side without mercenaries.

Leicester City, but you might expect a downfall next year.

Manchester United, but it's a hard time being their fans since the last 3 years (doesn't matter for life time supporter like us).

Arsenal, if you like attractive football, but dont mind breaking your TV after the 2nd half of every season.

West Ham is a pretty solid choice if you're looking for great games. I'd also recommend any of Everton, Spurs, or Leicester.

No offence but you're a glory hunter if you do that no wonder you are psg fan

@Andezron

You misunderstood his post. He's a PSG fan, probably from France, and wants to expand his horizons by also following a different league. There is zero reason to knock that, especially because he's asking for advice on the topic.

Besides, he put United in his potential choices. All our glory hunter fans left a long time ago.

@sunflash, it's still glory hunting regardless. He wants to feel success with TWO different clubs. Imagine if he chooses to support man united in England and man united play psg then who'll he support? Stupid decision really.

Oh please. I support a domestic team (Seattle) the team I somewhat became affiliated with in my work (Toronto) and Manchester United. I have a soft spot for Sporting Lisbon because I currently work in their Canadian youth system.

I can support all these clubs and do just fine. Of course, I will always be more emotionally invested in United, but that doesn't mean I don't support other clubs.

The difference between you and oturan supporting multiple clubs is that oturan is considering supporting two European club whilst you support 1 European club and 1 northern American club which is a whole different story because Seattle and man united are highly unlikely to play each other in a competitive match whilst psg and man united could face each other off in the ucl or Europa league which will limit his support for either club which is basically glory hunting.

You just won't quit will you?

If you were to watch another league, would you have a preference for a team within the division? Probably.

Would you support this team or at the very least root for them to win? Probably.

If that team played the team that you love with all that you are, would you want them to win? Of course not.

I watch the Bundesliga, and I really enjoy watching Gladbach. If Gladbach and United were to play each other, of course I would want United to win. It's not glory hunting, it's following and appreciating the game in different nations, in different leagues.

Drop the attitude and expand your horizons.

No I would not quit because I hold my ground unlike some people.

  1. I would not have a preference to which team I would want to win that league. I would just watch the league as a neutral and enjoy the matches.

  2. I would not root for any team unless they are playing a team I really don't like.

  3. I would not support that team playing against man united because I won't support a 2nd team in the first place

Good for you if you like gladbach but I would still consider you as a glory hunter for the simple fact that gladbach could out of nowhere get a billionaire owner like city and win trophies or they could emerge out of nowhere and compete for the title like Leicester is doing.

Finally how is this attitude? Not like I'm disrespecting or cursing at you...

I completely disagree with your opinion Andezon, your argument is rather your very own perapective and it doesnt hold any valid point to me.

SunFlash have already said thing I wanted to say. Just to add, some fans they follow their idols/fav players and support their clubs accordingly, thats not neccessarily glory hunter. Its just like if your family member join a company, you will hope that company to success, thus support and watch out for them.

I consider myself a fan of the sport thus I like a lot of teams. Coming from America, we don't have the history that most world teams have for the sport so I grew up liking many teams and many styles.

For England, I support Man Utd and QPR.
For Spain it is Barca and Malaga
Portugal it is Porto
Germany it is Borussia Dortmund
France is PSG, mostly because of Thiago Silva. haha
Italy is Juve
Holland is Ajax
Russia is Rubin Kazan
USA is Portland and Dallas (Grew up in Texas and live in Portland now)
Mexico is America and Monterrey
Brazil is Santos
Argentina is Boca Juniors

I like a lot of teams. If that makes me a glory hunter, so be it, I am not hung up on labels. By the way, me admitting QPR should really not make me a Glory Hunter! haha Just sayin. :)

Start watching many games and then I think you will have a sudden preference for one of those teams, if you ask me who will mostly have the brightest short future, my answer would be City probably. Arsenal had the most beatiful Football in the league to watch but their direction management gives cancer.
United still looking to find a success formula, Chelsea isnt compatible for a Psg fan, a little rivalry was born lately, some midtable teams like Ham and Everton are also pleasant to watch but Leocester is the club writing the most beautiful story atm, I think no one could advice you.
Each year I have a preference, since im affiliated to Barca for life, I support often the most deserving team in term of game play and management, this year like many im rulling for the foxes and I would clearly love them to keep their players and get a healthy rise...
