I'd love to see Owen come back from injury and net 5 goals. But congrats to Rooney if he stays as a forward he can be top three. I hate seeing him in midfield.

Main focus on this thread is Rooney. For me its Owen. Come on Owen, 1 more goal this season! You can do it even if it means with Stoke!

Owen is now a glass cannon. Plays excellently but gets injured often. He is now in the shadow of his glorious past as his twilight is coming to an end. I'm just hoping he can at least score 150 and finish his career off. He is a legend.

Another interesting way to look at the table is by how many years each of these played in the premier league/first division:

Shearer - played 18 years
Cole - 19 years (he was an Arsenal academy product; they're still kicking themselves for letting him go)
Henry - 7 years
Fowler - 13 years
Lampard - 16 years
Rooney - 10 years (and counting)
Ferdinand - 19 years
Owen - 16 years (and counting)

Rooney still has quite a few years on him so I expect him to 2nd or at least 3rd.

@quikzyy: for my money, he was the best PLAYER that ever played in the PL. Also, looking at the stats I put above, he spent so much less time in the prem compared to the others but is still 3rd top scorer.
