Valencia are not stronger than Benfica at this date. Other than that, I agree with your strength listing.

Never underestimate the Lyon, bad mistake. Juve are the favourites.

Juve and Benfica are equaly matched imo
Then, I would say Porto and Basel can give a very decent performance.

^Remember how Porto played against Napoli? I believe they will get thrashed, well at least I hope so.

Valencia would pass Basel. I didnt even talked about it, i never saw Basel playing without Salah and i know the actual form of Valencia so i think its a safe bet.
Juventus will be surprised by Lyon but will pass at the end ( im hoping for a full surprise :) ).

@tiki: Provided you're following Lyon, any news on how their starting goalie Anthony Lopes has been doing? Think he's got a shot at Portugal's WC squad (with the GK position being one of our major concerns right now)?

well nice start for Valencia, NOT.. we need our first keeper Alves, and we cant have such bad luck as last time missing 2-3 open goals

If Juve win this competition it will not be a big achievement. They have a team built for CL, just like Chelsea had last season. I'd like to see Benfica to win it!

i only hope Juve wins it for the sake of Uefa ranking. in july there'll be the refresh, so the Uefa will take away the points of the oldest season which is 2009/2010. without those points Portugal comes very very close to Italy in the ranking. if Porto and Benfica win ALL the matches then Portugal will pass Italy. Juve winning the cup would let us keep around 1pt advantage over them, in the ranking.

Too many people criticize Juve because they fix matches. But I'm sure it's false, and would you like that people insult your club for things that never existed? No, so, haters, shut up.

@Tuanis No i just didnt realise Bale were as strong as last year, even with Salah departure...
And Valencia form dropped lately so yes i was wrong about it :).

I remind you, im not sharing knibis point about la liga midtable teams, but im not sharing the point that English midtable teams are any strong. ( 0 team in EL quarters ).

@shpalman: Very true, my friend. In fact, we'd pass Italy on next season's edition on current date - and Germany are up next. Four Portuguese teams in the Champions League is going to be lively, no?

@Tuanis , English teams are nothing anymore bro so dont expect alot from your Moysie ;) Chelsea is still crap even if they got ''The Special One''. The best teams atm are from Spain , France , Germany and Portugal. Italian clubs are getting alittle bit weak especially Inter (@Wolfie) I feel sad for him because Merda Inter hasnt played CL for along time and they bought many players.. I think FC Porto or Benfica will win the EL. But i hope for Porto because i want Quaresma to win a throphy with his return to Europe ;)

@Golden : Since you are here, yes Lopez is very talented and in an incredible form, i thought he was French lol.
I dont know much about Portugal Goal Keepers level, but he is one of the best GKs in France this year.
