Not really, players get abuse from fans from the opposing teams all the time and at the end of the day the aim of the game is to score. Why not do it in style? That guy does not know when he will score again.
Comment from youtube:
'Fail to see how this is disrespectful. Sure it's a form of taunting the
opposition but it's not in any way personal and therefore not offensive.
Basically Ntep murked everyone/capitalised on some retarded Reims
defending and just tried to put an entertaining twist on what would have
otherwise been an everyday tap-in. Last game of the season, who really
cares? The Reims CB is a weapon for pushing him!'
yeah you don't do that. When you're on the pitch you stay professional. There can be competitiveness among players, and players kicking each others is more acceptable than this. The way I understand this is that this guy doesn't take the match and the other team seriously. That's very disrespectful. This is the kind of stuff kids do to piss eachothers off. I know we did that at my school when we played. After that he was immediately subbed off by the manager, and rightly so.

nah, also kinda dreamed of doing this... it is worth the punishment doing this just once
he goes into this with high risk because if he fails to score he makes him self look extreamly stupid
yes, I think it's really disrespectful.
No way in hell this is disrespectful, it's nothing personal. Gez, everyone is so sensitive nowaday and forgot one thing: football is entertainment. I did this as a kid sometimes :D.
^agree... There is no way scoring a goal in certain way can be disrespectful. When a player dribbles past the entire team ans scores it isn't considered disrespectful. Its basically the same, he got past the defenders and keeper, so he can push the ball into the goal however he wants to.
Football can get people pissed for everything, dont complain about how he scored, work on having a not-so-crappy defence so those things wont happen again.
Wait, was the disrespectful bit? If it was the header, then that is normal these days.
Hahaha.. that's Hilarious. Serves them right!! Next time they'll close down space faster. Not standing there like clowns watching the guy walk it into their net.

That was far from disrespectful, that was f*cking hilarious. Props to the goalscorer.
@fabryi
Don't you think if that is disrespectful than after goal celebrations should be considered disrespectful ?
Its not proffesional, the coach told this. We all did this, but with our friends in a useless match..
At high level, you should be at 200 per cent, score a goal as fast as you can, give the example to the kids...
He wont get any ban or punishement, but i understand the coach that does not want his players to take it easy, specially when they are still NOTHING...
I mean NTEP who ? Bringing hate toward his team or making a buzz while some bad results would makes them in trouble... Its not Mohammed Ali if you know what i mean, this kind of reaction for a young player can affect his career, it looks like to Balotelli/Mancini incident and that was in a friendly...
Really its for the player that the coach did this, no arrogance for the youth to shine in the future, but he should not get punished more than that, i understand his substitution.
A little reminder to tell the youth that they are still learning, even Zlatan doesnt do this... :)
I don't understand , why all of a sudden footballers should be example to kids ? I did not grow up looking up to footballers . My parents raised me and taught me to manners and etiquette. Let footballers do whatever they want on the field and off the field . It is their lives and careers .
If i was the coach, i would not bench him...
But i understand the coach decision anyway, its good for young players not to take it easy and be at 100 per cent to progress, SAF was very rude with Ronaldo and Mourinho benched Balotelli several times...
Maybe Ntep will thank the coach in the future.
And Rennes has not won a title for a long time now, they lost their 3rd final in 3 years against a Ligue 2 team, another trophyless season for them and the pressure at Montanier is higher than ever, the context is not appropriate for taunting...

I always did this when playing with my friends at the park. Brings back memories, haha.
