Diego Costa's disgusting behavior (should he be banned?)

The link above shows him kicking an opposition player in the back.

This link shows him punching an opposition player in the face.

This is much worse than Suarez's stupid dives and biting habits, and Costa should be banned accordingly. English FA is very controversial, so I don't expect a ban, but what do you guys think? Ban, or no ban?

@Marcus I didn't wanted to insult them, it was just a bad way to express myself, and I understand your reaction.

Ok Obviously you paint a different image of Diego Costa . Since Costa joined Chelsea I have not seen anything wrong . Mourinho contains him well and I don't care what reputation he had in Atletico . He is a Chelsea player now .

I am just going to strictly summarize on two incidents you have indicated . IF you think that Costa deserved red for provoked reaction then I think O'shea deserved a red and ban for two heavy INTENTIONAL tackles from BEHIND . Who knows maybe his intentions were to break his legs ? Possible ? I think yes . Knowing how much of c*nt O'shea is I would not be surprised if this is true . I remember how Ronaldo De Lima's career was slowed down with players intentionally trying to break his legs . So , Diego Costa's reaction was little too much but in the heat of the moment it was normal reaction .

And other incident with his hand swing , how the hell did you determine it was intentional ? Rubbish .

Yes, you're right, John O'Shea should have been sent off but since it's Chelsea, people here on FR feel obliged to make a thread about a bad action by Diego Costa and leave O'Shea out. As for the hand swing, I've never said it was intentional.. look at the first page of this thread.

It's very funny talking about dirty players coming from La Liga and especially from Real Madrid. We don't have a dirty players. Costa might be a bit rough but he is not doing it as much as in La Liga, because in the EPL those kind of physical challenges are the soul of football. Those players are men and can use their physical abilities in the game without biting or punching or spiting. These things are not tolerated by the FA.

So far I have not seen anything extreme from Costa in the EPL. When he will spit or bite someone I will probably not defend him.

^ are you familiar with this quote? "If your house is made of glass, don't throw stones on others."

Alex, that video says it all. This one too:

I think what it comes down to with regard to the Madrid/Spanish comparison is: do we in the PL want to become as bad as La Liga, and do you want Chelsea to have these kind of highlights associated with them?

I certainly don't. I'd rather we don't hand-wave it the way UEFA does, and stand for honest football instead, within the PL. Unfortunately, though, we can see season after season how much more ridiculous the refereeing has become.

The divers won. :( And they probably pat themselves on the back for it.

@juan

We all are different here and we have different views and opinions . I maybe one of the few who most often has opposite opinion to popular opinion by most members about some football incident or topic . I may sound like arrogant and ignorant guy who just firmly believes everyone else is wrong and I am right . However, it is not true . I am not like that and I liked to be challenged with different views or opinions of course preferably backed by facts . I am an open minded person and if I loose argument I swallow it , admit it and learn more about it . For me football threads aren't only a place for arguments and interesting discussions , to me it is also a place to learn more about football . And I have changed my view or opinion before on many occasions or the way I looked at some of the football incidents , football tactics and football players due to discussions or arguments here .

Yes , you are right . So often , I find my self going into argument because I am only one or one of the few who has different opinion and often I strongly feel that I am right . Doesn't mean again that I am going for sole purpose of to argue . Sometimes my goal is to educate or correct other member and if eventually turns out that I am the one who is wrong , I will be the one educated and corrected . If I don't going to argument , how should expect to get something positive out of this forum ?

Am i still missing the point of a forum ?

A prick or not, both deserved a yellow card. and what Paulista did was stupid.. Exactly what Costa wanted..

He's really disgusting, almost onone except Chelsea's fans can like him (which is reasonable because they support their club). Bravo to Koscielny for not rolling around and screaming in this situation. As for the red of Gabriel, plain stupid from him. He only has himself to blame, he did exactly what Costa wanted...

Look.. Many Chelsea fans will defend him and many will say he is a **** but he is our **** and we like it. But in all fairness as a Chelsea supporter I would say Costa is a very dirty player and I don't like it one bit. I would rather have someone like the king Drogba. But eh.. either if we had a classy striker or not, other fans will find something to talk about Chelsea so they got what they deserve from Costa. I wouldn't be so sad if Costa leave tomorrow for someone else and that someone certainly not Giroud.

we all know Costa is a c*nt, but the real sad thing is that his manager tells him to keep being a c*nt. that's the way it is, he's just doing what he's been told to do.
