De Bruyne's brilliant highlights playing as a centre-forward

Guardiola's side have endured a tough start to the 2020/21 season, but blew Chelsea away with a dazzling team display to claim a deserved 3-1 victory.

De Bruyne performed the task so well that Guardiola may opt to use the silky playmaker in the role again this season.

The Belgian scored, assisted and constantly put Chelsea centre-backs Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma on the back foot.

As a result, his highlights from the game - which you can watch below - are seriously impressive.

What made him so dangerous in that game was his expertise of the attacking mid role which helped him as he dropped into spaces. He was able to create and get more chances at goal because he was the "forward".

Chelsea's defense did not play well which contributed, but it is a good move to mix up positions sometimes. I would not leave him there though, not for the long haul anyway. he is more valuable deeper and teams will surely draft a defensive strategy against him eventually. Chelsea was not prepared for City, and surely not ready to cover De Bruyne.

This match was over after about 30 mins of play.

To be honest, I alway rated KDB highly but I never expected him to thrive as a centre foward. I kinda agree this a temporary move from Pep most likely. Still, its never a bad thing to have more option, especially with your fowards.
