Kevin De Bruyne is expected to have his medical on Thursday or Friday ahead of a proposed move to Manchester City.

It was reported on Wednesday that City had reached agreement with his current club Wolfsburg on a fee for the 24-year-old playmaker. And De Bruyne now looks set to head to Manchester, although he was believed to still be in Germany as of Thursday morning.

Sky Deutschland's Jurek Rohrberg told Sky Sports News HQ: "It is very probable that Kevin goes to Manchester because Manchester City and Wolfsburg yesterday made an agreement.

"He can go to Manchester City for the transfer fee of about 74m euros and a special payment of about 5m euros. For example, if they win the title, Manchester City have to pay again. So, the package is about 80m euros (£58.2m).That's the biggest deal in Bundesliga history.

"There are some people who say Kevin De Bruyne has already gone to Manchester but that's not right. We have the information that he is still in Wolfsburg, waiting on the final go. He has to make the medical and then he can sign the contract, a five-year contract worth about £20m euros (£14.5m)."

Ridicolous amount of money. City over paying as usual! They'll have spent £130m or so this transfer window when they're done!

Or actually De Bruyne (£58), Sterling (£49m), Otamendi (£32m), Delph (£8m), Roberts (£10,5m) = £157.5m

  • Negredo (£22m), others (£14m)

=£121.5m net spent

Do City need a CAM for 74 million?

Nope.

They don't even need a CAM.

Search up "Kevin De Bruyne" on Google, and read the description on the right side of your screen.

Overpriced as hell. Suddenly I don't feel that bad about Stones' fee anymore.

@KTBFFH: Plus, they've just signed some 18 y/o kid from Villarreal for £ 2.1m

Price doesnt matter for City its the quality and the talent they want.
Having that sheikh to pay such big ammounts of money that actually mean nothing to him and its a big advantage for them! They can lure any talented player in their team ;) No hate involved

It overvalues the market, and that is detrimental to the sport, imo.

I dont think it is thaat overpriced. Didnt Madrid pay a similar amount for James?
This is nothing compared to Sterling's price. But it is still very unnecessary as they dont seem to need any midfielder specially a CAM.

James is a far better player than De Bruyne.

Yes, Angel Di Maria for 60m was the best bargain in the history of English football. Nothing else comes close.

That attacking 4 looks really great, not the cheapest 4 too lol, but nonetheless great.
