Seems like Villa was pissed as to why Mata didn't pass to him. I don't see anything Mata did wrong. He saw Torres as the open pass, and Torres scored. Mata got the assist. I think Villa just wanted to get a hat-trick (which he did later).

Torres had earlier ran straight to the keeper and lost the ball instead of passing to Villa.

Whoever has played football is able to know that things like that always happen during a game.
Why you didnt pass?Why did you shoot? Pass the ball more often etc...
