News to me mate

He has been great this season, he was always was a great footballer but lacked in the defensive department and working with conte has helped him improve his defensive aspect.

It is not like he had Messi or Suarez or Bale in his pocket.

Yes he does fantastic so far and I am happy I was wrong about him but seriously can he keep it up? and if yes for how long?

I love what he is doing but I won't judge him so quick for this season also most people were criticizing what they saw from previous seasons and they were not actually wrong. Carragher despite beeing a biased twat knows football much more than me you or any of us at a football forum.

But yeah lets hope he keeps delivering such performances and make us all happy

He had ibra,lukaku,aguero,kane,vardy in his pocket, thats decent enough?

Gotta say I was not expected him to do so well, but what do you know, he is really doing well for himself, best CB for Chelsea with Dave in my opinion! ;)

@sun carragher or neville.Criticized him quite a lot in the beginning as they thought he would be a liability in the Chelsea defense. But they have reluctantly been giving him credit lately because what else can they do? He's been great!

David Luiz has always been a fabulous footballer and defender, but has always been prone to errors leading to goals and his emotions getting the better of him and dictating his positioning. This was evident during his final couple of seasons at Chelsea and the World Cup in 2014. The thing is, under Conte who has created an impeccable mindset for the team and all the players, these things just aren't going to happen anymore, or not as often. Similar to how Costa has cleaned up his discipline, how Hazard has come back to top form, and how Courtois has come back to challenge for the best keeper in the league.

@Eden17 Haven't seen a lot of Courtois save this year but he does seem to do a lot better, how is he doing right now? On your other point, I have to agree with you, Conte and Chelsea are a match made in heaven for me. Incredible how great they have become since he took over and found the good strategy. ;)
