DAMN IT!!! Liverpool Look Set To Sign Iago Aspas...

According to SKY:
"However, it is now understood that Liverpool are poised to win the chase
for Aspas, who has a €10million (£8.6m) release clause in his contract.
The 25-year-old has scored 60 goals in 130 appearances for Celta and was
strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in January."

I Was REALLY HOPING that Arsenal would go in for him. From what I've seen, looks a VERY VERY good player and at that price, a steal.

Other teams have been montioring him (including Swansea & previously Spurs) but I think everyone was waiting to see if Celta get relegated as it would drop the asking price. Liverpool sneakily seemed to have activated the release clause so that they could get first dibs, even if it meant they spent a bit more. Clever.

I know they'll need him if Suarez heads off (as exptected) but I'm a bit unimpressed that Arsenal weren't all over this...

Arsenal SHOULD have been all over him. EPL clubs should look into La Liga talent more often. Iago Aspas, Leo Baptistao, Iker Muniain, Susaeta, etc. are all GREAT talents who can come for surprisingly cheap prices. I mean, look at the three most recent Spanish players to leave La Liga. Mata has scored 20 goals and given 28 assists this season, Michu helped Swansea win the Carling Cup, and Javi Martinez has become an extremely essential part of Bayern now, especially since he marked Messi and Iniesta during the FCB - FCB games.

That fool Wenger. He should've been all over Aspas. Did anyone watch Celta - Real Madrid? The one where we scraped by with a 2-1 win? Just watch how Aspas was all over the field that game. I mean, not only did he score a goal, but he was dictating the play more than CR7 or Alonso that game. He literally overran our midfield and defense. And I'm pretty sure he has had better games this season (scary). Aspas would've been better than Cazorla at Arsenal, and Gunners' fans have just missed out on quite a bit.

Bit of advice to Wenger. BUY LEO BAPTISTAO. Plays for Rayo Vallecano, is 20 years old, and has scored 7 goals and given 6 assist this season in 25 appearances. He's better than Giroud. :P
