In this video, Ronaldo Sr. urges his son to say hello to Messi. After Messi asks Cristiano Jr. how he is doing, Ronaldo Sr. tells Messi, "He is always watching videos of us on the Internet and speaking about you". That's probably the best video I've seen all day.

This just shows how much respect and admiration they have for one another... The only one's who hate each other are their fanboy's, and the media just adds fuel to the fire by comparing them and always putting them head to head, it must be annoying for both of them... Even Ronaldo's kid is a fan of Messi ffs. He's more mature than 90% of Ronaldo/Messi fans. I think we should all learn from him. After Ronaldo had been awarded with the Ballon D Or, Messi personally went to him, shook his hand and congratulated him. Something very similar happened when Real won Copa Del Rey in 2014, Cristiano went up to Messi to comfort Messi after the loss. They are both very professional and world class players. I really think this is a great example of how good their relationship actually is, no need to be comparing them all the time. :)
