Have Atletico managed to win any match against Barca/RM this season?
@Fred
Nope.
2-0 loss to Real at the Bernabeu, and 2-1 loss at the Calderon.
3-1 loss at Camp Nou, and 2-1 again to Barca at the Calderon.
BUT, in both occasions at the Calderon, there was an own goal scored. So it shows that Atletico are capable of beating them, but just haven't done it yet.
Capable of drawing, at least.
what a team, they have great players. wanted to see Falcao playing C1 next year but he wants to quit the club..
actually 4-1 at camp nou vs atleti.
actually 4-1 at camp nou.
"A week later the same side lost in the Nou Camp against Sevilla in the Spanish Cup final, a match that will be remembered by the exemplary behaviour of the Atlético fans who refused to leave the stadium after the game despite the defeat and continued to sing in support of their side."
Huge respect, <3
Do you need any more proof that Madrid (Real that is...http://www.footballtshirtuk.com/ which does not even behave like one) is made up of animals and thugs!
Here is a look at Courtois during the match.
Special SimeONE! Simple as that :)
CRISTIANO TAKES A LOOK AT THE CUP FINAL AGAINST ATLÉTICO.
"We have to start strong because we're the best team in the world"
Cristiano Ronaldo gave his thoughts on the cup final against Atlético for 'Realmadrid TV'. "We have to make a good, strong start, the way this club, the best in the world, really plays. Just because the Bernabéu is split in half isn't going to crush our ambition to win this cup," he said. The Portuguese striker explained what is needed. "We're ready and determined to win this title. On Friday, I hope that the team bus gets a reception similar to the one we got against Borussia Dortmund," he remarked. Far from playing down the importance of this tournament, Real Madrid's star striker underscored the determination to win this trophy again. "It's a trophy which really fires us up and we want to win it. We know that it will be a tightly contested game against a rival from the same city and it will be a great spectacle. We hope Real Madrid can win it."
FOUR OUT OF FIVE HAVE BEEN WON IN THE LAST THREE YEARS.
Atlético learn how to play finals.
Atlético Madrid has learnt how to play finals in recent years. Since May 2010 the red and whites have played five and won four of them. The one that got away was the Spanish Cup final against Sevilla and Friday’s game against city rival Real Madrid is the best possible way for the club to forget that defeat. Whatever happens, the Atlético players will not be worried about a lack of big match experience when Friday’s game does kick off in the Santiago Bernabeu. Atlético had previously gone a full decade without enjoying a final from the Cup final in 2000 until the Europa League final in 2010. That game was in Hamburg against Fulham and it was Diego Forlán who was on hand that night with the winner in the 116th minute. A week later the same side lost in the Nou Camp against Sevilla in the Spanish Cup final, a match that will be remembered by the exemplary behaviour of the Atlético fans who refused to leave the stadium after the game despite the defeat and continued to sing in support of their side. Atlético then became the European Super cup winners in August 2010 beating Inter Milan with goals from Reyes and Agüero. The same European double was then repeated two years later in 2012 under the orders of Diego Pablo Simeone. Athletic Bilbao in May in the Europa League and Chelsea in August in the European Super cup were the teams defeated, with Radamel Falcao the goal-scoring hero on both occasions.
RONALDO AND DIEGO COSTA CONTEST TOP-SCORER AWARD
Pichichi goes to final
Besides trying to help their teams clinch the Copa del Rey, Diego Costa and Cristiano Ronaldo will be fighting to claim the competition's award for top goal-scorer. Both players - Radamel Falcao might have a word to say on the matter - will be the focal point for all watching. Atlético de Madrid striker Costa has played a crucial part in his side's progression to the final by scoring seven goals. Meanwhile, Ronaldo has netted six times and is the only player who could beat Costa to the goal-scoring crown after Álvaro Negredo's Sevilla exited the competition - the striker scored six goals. Costa has been slightly more consistent in the tournament and has scored in every round for Atlético. The Brazilian was on the score-sheet in the last-sixteen against Real Jaén and then in the last-eight when his two goals at the Calderón sent Getafe packing. In the quarter-finals Costa's goals helped to dispose of Real Betis and in the semi-finals he continued his fine run with three goals - two at the Calderón against Sevilla and another at the Sánchez Pizjuán stadium. Portuguese forward Ronaldo has only scored in two rounds, but his goals proved to be decisive on both occasions for Real Madrid's quest to reach Friday's final. The Madrid goal-machine scored four times against Celta de Vigo in the last-eight - one at the Balaídos stadium and a hat-trick in the home game. In the semi-finals against Barcelona, Ronaldo's two goals at the Camp Nou proved to be the deciding factor.
THE PRICIEST OF THE BIG FOUR EUROPEAN LEAGUES.
No bargains at the Bernabeu.
A full house is guaranteed at the Santiago Bernabéu for next Friday's Spanish Cup final between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, even though the ticket prices agreed by the two clubs and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) are the highest ever. Never before had the most expensive tickets for the Spanish Cup final cost as much as €275. It is true that the cheapest tickets are €10 cheaper than other years, but there are three different ticket categories that cost more than last season's most expensive ticket (€200): €220 in the upper and lower stands, €245 in the first amphitheatre and €275 closer to the pitch. When comparing these prices with those charged for the cup finals in the other four big European leagues, not one of them comes even close. The closest was the €136 charged for the most expensive ticket to see the FA Cup final at Wembley between Manchester City-Wigan. The tickets for the German Cup final scheduled for 1st June at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin between Bayern and Stuttgart have been set by the German Football Federation (DFB) at prices ranging from €35 to €125. In Italy, the Olympic Stadium in Rome is set for a full house on 26th May to witness the first ever final between Roma and Lazio. The prices range from €30 to €120.
