Tomorrow is Copa Del Rey first leg at Vicente Calderon, one of my favourite fixtures after the Clasico.
Very hard to give a prediction but 0-0 is a good score for Atleti is they close the game, they wont play Mandzukic though since he isnt the explosive counters player, so imo both will try to have possession with amazing ball holders in each side ( Koke-Turan-Griezmann / Isco-James-Modric-Kroos ), i feel Atleti wont loose in their ground.

My prediction : 2-1 in Calderon for Atleti, Real Madrid to qualify in Bernabeu.

Hate playing in the Calderon. It's like a steaming pot in there. I predict the exact same score as Tiki for the Calderon, and a draw in the Bernabeu. Atletico will qualify.

2-1 to Atleti, Bale to score first, then Torres will grab a brace.

Speaking of the man himself, Torres is expected to start, and his shirt sales have broken Atleti records in the first few hours since release.

I say draw 1-1, can't predict scorers though. Ronaldo and Griezman would be my guesses

I think Atletico will win 2-1 or 1-0 at Vicente Calderon, but Real Madrid will beat them and go through on Santiago Bernabeu.

I predict a draw 1-1 , and we probably will be able to watch Torres and Arda probably will be left out of the first-11 to make room for Torres.

Madrid will win! just not sure which one. :)

I think it is tactics . Turan usually burns out in second half when he starts . He will be great refreshment of energy for Atletico to play counter attack and Koke will come on to close the shop after positive result if things go well .

Real also starting without Ronaldo , so it will be encouragement for Atletico .

I say hard fought 2-1 for Atletico and return fixture will go for Madrid 2-0 .

In that respect, Bale did even worse. Bale is always the easiest player for Atletico to shut down. All they have to do is get two of their men to cover the inside of the flank and force Bale on to his right foot. And POOF - Bale is useless. Happens every Derbi Madrileno.

Little surprised how ineffective Madrid was whole game . Atletico did not give them any space . Simeone must win FIFA Manager of the year award . It will be injustice if he does not win . Man turned Atletico into machine that can adapt to any opposition and play any style and break other team from playing their own style .

After seeing this game I think Atletico have just as much of chance wining CL as Bayern or Madrid or Barcelona or Chelsea .

@Marcus2011 they parked the bus the whole game, then Ramos was just dumb with the penalty. If it wasn't for the penalty it would have ended 0-0 or Madrid could have scored. Ancelotti's changes were dumb, James was playing well, why bring him out? Benzema did nothing as always, yet he plays 90. Arbeloea, our worst player starts and as always does terribly, I sometimes don't get Ancelotti.

If you review the history of Football or Basketball, doesn't matter. in %80 of times, the least goals or baskets conceding team, the most succesful defensive team, wins the competitions. So that's not too bad for the team. Maybe for the game joy but I think this game was enjoying.

Thanks Marcus, i' ve been saying it for a while now, Atletico should not be rulled out from any competition, its not the first time they won Super Copa fair and square and went winning at Bernabeu in the League.

So what if they parked the bus ? Did you want them to open up and let Madrid play their game ? Madrid parked exact same bus against Bayern and went to final of CL . I think you guys need to get over that teams may use ultra defensive tactics . It is not easy to park the bus and play from defense . YOu have to have right players and have great understanding between players playing like one unit.

Real should have been cautious and let Atletico worry about score after all it was Atletico who was playing home and needed a win more . Btw i am not sure where usually Kroos plays , but I felt like he was out of place and very uncomortable . And Benzema plays from the outside , he is not the right player to be fielded against team that plays very defensively IMO .

Agree . Last year , they were dark horse in every competition , but this year they are clear contenders on all of them . Watch them work they way to the top of the table by mid Spring . They will put a lot of pressure on Barcelona and Madrid this season once again . They are after all defending La Liga champions.
