Well, Mourinho turned before him, I'm sure Wenger won't miss handshake with him. Let's just stay on the football side. PS: lucky fella who got medal from this final.

Dammit. I thought I predicted a 1-0 win, but I actually wrote 2-1. F*ck, so close.

This might have just been a friendly game, but Wenger proved today that what Chelsea did against the top teams last season (ie. "parking the bus") is actually not that hard to implement if you have the resources. And that the true testament of a great team is how they embed their philosophy of football in the way they play and, ultimately, how well they entertain in the path to glory.

Frankly I was disappointed. Chelsea looks weak going forward. Hazard was out of pace the entire game. Arsenal two good chances to go and win 3-0.

What's up with Wenger being such a baby? You've beaten Mourinho for once! go and shake his hand like a man...

Not a good performance from us, but at least it's the right time for a wake up call. Cesc at #10 is a disaster, once again. Not sure why we still try that. Anyway, Congrats Arsenal.

From Carragher's twitter:

"JM/AW handshake is a nonsense, they can't stand each other so why
pretend. Jose never gave Wenger a second look in the tunnel beforehand!!"

Could not say it better.

@dynastian I think you were the closest from footyroom though.

@Tuanis

Haha, neither Wenger nor Mourinho are good examples of maturity. They're both awful role models for sportsmanship, especially when they're facing each other.

@JM10

Cesc operating from deep was what won you the title last year. I think Mourinho really was treating this game like a friendly because I don't see him putting Cesc that far up the pitch in the regular season games against Arsenal.

Wenger is a sportsmanship person, Mourinho almost fired him by the #Specialist of failure# tag, but this has helped Gunners to have an extra motivation to win trophies and Wenger to put more pressure on his players, as the pressure on him was very high.

Mourinho whining after Arsenal defensive tactics made my day lol, even Diehard Chelsea fans couldnt follow him since they spent years of defending parking the bus. Football from another age ? Alright Mou so stop using it too and find your team a proper attacking philosophy that could make the fans proud.

Football is results, Football is results, okay not so wrong but when you loose, the mediocre display is on the spotlight.
You cant even say, we gave everything, if you cannot win, loose with honour.

@TheGame: Wenger didn't do a great job of parking the bus...I guess it does require some experience... :P. Chelsea opened up Arsenal time and again. I didn't watch the game, just from the highlights I saw...never thought Wenger and parking the bus could coexist....

I think it's great that we finally learnt in last season when we got the lead to lock the game and take the win. Yea, it's much better to win with 3 or more goals, but it could have easily happened despite playing defensively after scoring.

@thegame

Still bitter about match in spring of 2015 ... yet I am still bitter about match in the fall of 2014 .

This debate about when we play defensive never stops obviously we are not going to argue about it any further . However , It is pretty hard to implement , you should watch matches when United tried . As far as this match , it was matter of our mid and attacking players not being themselves , well except Falco and Remy who were themselves . We could not finish goal scoring chances or create more , and damn it for the second time, goalkeeper we gave away performs like the best keeper in the world against us .

We have several football philosophies but importantly to win match fair and square . We will implement philosophy which suits us on that day not which SUITS you or our opponents , mate ;)

@tiki

The great conspirator who can read between the lines , is not the self image you always sell about yourself on this forum ? Yet , you could not spot simply what Jose loves to do , is too highlight your hypocracy . You all complain when we do it , but when it comes to you or others , we must stay humble . LOGIC Mate .

Jose is not letting such acts of ignorance go without notice . Trust me Wenger will know of that interview and that is all that matters before season starts . Also Good . He should not let any hypocrisy get away .

Any style he implements during the football match makes me proud . Honestly , don't care . As longest we are not making 1000 back passes to goalie or defenders ... That sht will piss me off .

Before putting 1000, try to make 10 properly going forward. Dont start personal attacks that only say how weak is your arguments atm.
For conspiracy, # Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect. # Mark twain.

You are on the side of majority ... smh

"before using quotes think twice " - Marcus2011

We don't need 10 passes going forward , we just need two . First pass to a player in scoring zone and second into the net. I am sure you remember how effective it was against Barca .

@Marcus: Here's the list

Oct 5, Everton: Saves a penalty and 2 late goals. United hang on to win 2-1. Gives United 3 points
Oct 26: Chelsea: Saves 1 on 1 vs Hazard, gives United a chance to draw. 1 point.
Nov 22: Arsenal: Saves 1 on 1 vs Wilshere early in the game, and saves a late attempt from Arsenal to preserve United's a 2-1 lead. 3 points.
Dec 2, Stoke: Produces 2 crazy saves in injury time to preserve United's 2-1 win. 3 points.
Dec 8: Southamption: Saves a couple of shots late in the game to preserve United's 2-1 lead. Southamption threatened after RVP's secpnd goal, but DDG keeps them out twice in the game. 3 points.
Dec 14, Liverpool: United races away to a 3-0 lead and drop intensity. Liverpool would have gotten back into the game and probably won it if it weren't DeGea's 2-3 1on1 saves vs Balo & Sterling. Liverpool dominted from 60-90 mins in that game. 3 points.
Jan 1: Stoke: Saves shots from Wickham and Defoe to give United 1 point.
Mar 22: Liverpool: Saves 1 on 1 vs Sterling again. Gives United 3 points. United were pretty comfortable towards the end as Steven Gerrard was sent off. However, Liverpool attacked after 80 mins, and De Gea pulls off two more saves near the death.
May 9 Crystal Palace: Saves crucial goals after Palace tied 1-1 with United to give United a chance to win. Fellaini scored the winner. 3 points.
May 17 Arsenal: Saves shots from Ramsey and Giroud. Only played half the match. 1 point.

So this is about 24 points in EPL. There were other matches where he made some fine saves, but I don't have any stats on them. I'm sure you remember the Hazard miss against us...Bottom line Marcus is that United's poor defending gave other teams too many chances to score. But the other teams couldn't capitalize because we had DeGea...I'm sure you can find those stats online. I think he is the best in EPL not because I'm a United fan, but because he has proven himself with a shaky defence. Terry and Cahill will not make the same mistakes as Blackett, Smalling, Jones, and Rojo made. I'd say De Gea, Lloris, and Courtios are the best goalies in EPL just because of the shit that De Gea and Lloris have to put up with.
