Introuduction: The club was founded in 1907 when some youngs Turks, with Greek origins, started to play football in Istanbul. The founders were named Ziya Songülen (then Nurizade Ziya Bey), Ayetullah Bey and Enver Necip Okaner (then Enver Necip Bey). At the time, the sultan Abdul Hamid II didn't allow them to play in an official, nor showing it to any loyal family. In the 10's Fenerbahce played with the Royal Navy that occupied Istanbul. They won many of them. The Turkish League Federation decided to create a professional league in 1957, they won it first beating the all-time rival Galatasaray by 4-1. And the next year, they entered the CL. They also won the Balkan cup, against Albania Greece etc... So the league were very tight, until the 90's when Carlos Alberto Perreira became the manager. With changing managers almost every year, they let their rivals Besiktas and Galatasaray be on the top for more than three seasons. The fans are very loyal, even ready to attack other players or fans.
