I agree on the fact Giroud should start to keep the ball comming from the air and creating number, if Chelsea leaves space and try to attack the scoresheet will be salty.
I would be Conte i would focus on defense again and try to hit on set pieces, counters or any other way rather than possession.
All teams who conceded early or openplayed Barça at home took at least 3 goals. a 0-0 in first half is a good result for Chelsea.
they can put doubt on Barça in the last 30 minutes.

Of course he will get tackled if Barça looses the ball, he loves to keep it and Barça are the most exposed in counters, i bet half of these fouls were made by Busquets right :) doesnt mean there was an anti-Hazard mission, its Busquets job to stop any talented player trying to build up a counter.

Last player Barça made a specific tactic on him was Modric.

Then same goes for Messi, ofc Chelsea will try to take away the ball right...nice logic there but since you like posting pics here you go:

Aw, look at those two having a competition to know who of Hazard or Messi were most tightly marked. Seriously, guy, stop trying to pass for a victim, obviously, player like Messi and Hazard who dribble a lot get marked, tackled and faulted more. Stop making it personal. :P Nobody give a weasel who got it worse.

PS: Sorry if I sounded rude, it wasn't my intention. I'm just saying, there is not need to make it into a big issue, I think there is more interesting to share and exchange about is all. :)

I'm saying that Hazard was also marked and fouled more than Messi and this guy is just playing it down like Messi is the only player on the pitch.

Are you guys seriously comparing Hazard to Messi? especially at this time around, or this season?? LOLLLLL!!!

Ask any fan in the world, take Messi out of the Squad this season, especially the first half, Barca would be as good as Getafe. You gotta be a special kind of Messi disliker to try to discredit him this much...

In Barca, Messi then Busquet are probably the most important players right now.

Facts say otherwise, Hazard got fouled way more than Messi and was also tighly marked, you just simply deny anyone the proper respect because you're in love with Messi, this is why you won't get respect back cause you give none, never ever.

With 30% possession that Chelsea had Hazard was fouled 5 times and still had a few good dribbles, shots and assisted to Willian, Willan was man of the match.
Messi got a gift from Iniesta after a big blunder from Christiansen, he wasn't the best at all in that game, facts.

Barcelona are hungry, their main game is second half too, Chelsea are as good as out

Too many mistakes, cheap goals and Courtois not even trying to play, if the cheap goal in the first game wasn't enough, the second minute goal is just too much naive at this stage of the competition.

Barcelona didn't even need to give their 100% I feel but at the same time I think Conte had a good idea in both games, Valverde looks very superior now to Conte but I still think it's not as big of a dominance as the score showed.

I will be happy when we sell Courtois, second goal through the legs in a matter of just week, and if that's not happening he's just guessing a side to dive to even before the shot comes in, not good enough.

Chelsea had 2-3 chances in the first half as well, not half as bad as the scoreline shows.

valverde needs his fav paulinho back 2nd half. the midfield look too shaky when pressed and forced to play long ball.

@Golazo I'm sure you are so thrilled to see Messi score yet another goal through his legs lol. God damn hes been awful. Willy would have been better.

Respect to Messi, goal number 100 in Champions League, fits to score his 100th against the team that he was unlucky against in the past.

We got trashed hard tonight but I felt that Chelsea played decent somehow, feel sad for the team and Conte because he seemed to have a good idea about the game and a good gameplan but the whole tactic failed.
Still proud of some Chelsea players and wish the younger ones to take this experience and learn from it for the future, if it took Messi 9 games to score against Chelsea it can take a few trashings for Chelsea players to learn how to play in big games in Europe.

@Golazo, idk man the early goal changed the entire game plan for Chelsea. They were ready to defend hard and hit a few counters. But with them trailing the had to risk attacking.
Had a few good chances but Barca is a lot better in the back than previous years.

Honestly Chelsea by a big margin but in this fashion is probably a lot more tolerable than ManU playing so trash.

@raimondo Agreed, also, if Chelsea had score a goal for every time to they hit the woodwork, it would have been 6-4 for Chelsea. In other word, Chelsea was actually very close. A few centimeter could have give them the tie. They were unlucky and like Golazo said, lack of experience from their youngest player was also what hurt their chance. It was a great game to watch and Chelsea fan shouldn't be as full of regret as united fan, at least, your team tried hard.
